1. How Does TW Sweep Work?
When you enter a sweepstakes by hand on the
Web, you call up an entry form page on your Web browser, fill
in the form, and hit the Submit button. Enter a lot of sweepstakes online,
and you'll get a lot of practice typing your name and address
over and over again.
With our sweep service, you enter this information once.
We take the your information and relay it directly to a number of sweepstakes
Web sites. The result is the same as if you had entered the information
yourself.
2. How Do You Enter Information I
Didn't Give You?
Many sweepstakes entry forms ask for more
info beyond name, address and phone number, such as your
occupation, income, etc. In most cases, this information isn't
required to enter the contest. Whenever possible, we leave those
blanks... well, blank. Even when the items are required, you
often get the choice of "None of the Above". In that case,
we select that choice.
3.
How Many Entries Will I Get?
Once you're registered with our service, your
information will be automatically relayed to every sweepstakes
on our Current Sweeps list according
to your subscription level. With our service, that's just what will happen.
You will be entered as many times as the rules allow.
4.
Do You Guarantee Daily Entry in All Sweeps?
We send entries every day for the contests
on our Current Sweeps
list. As part of our service to you, we deal with the
breakdowns of the web servers of the contest-holder. When
their sites are down, we report the problem to their webmasters.
We will re-try your entries several times a day. When
their contest servers are back online, we'll resume sending
your entries.
5.
How Do You Select Sweeps to Enter?
We're picky! We stay away from sweepstakes
sponsored by questionable enterprises such as adult sites
or multi-level marketing schemes. We definitely
steer clear of so-called sweepstakes that require you to pay something
to claim a prize, or that require you to buy something to enter. We
avoid sweepstakes whose rules specifically prohibit entry by automated means.
6.
How Do I Know I'm Really Entered?
Some companies, such as Publishers Clearinghouse,
send an independent confirmation note directly to your e-mail
address each time your entry is received. Watch your
e-mail box. When you see these messages you'll know that our sweeps
service is working for you. Some contests only allow one entry
per day. If you try to enter them manually on your own
after our sweeps service sent your entry, they'll send an e-mail
warning that you'd already entered that day.
7.
How Do I Know Which Sweepstakes I'll Enter?
If you're concerned about duplicate
entries, check the list on the Current Sweeps
page.
Sometimes, we get mail from subscribers who
say "I've been notified of winning a sweep I don't remember entering.
Did you enter me?" Usually these supposed "wins" are from
companies that require you to pay something for the prize! You can
be sure that we never enter you into sweepstakes that require
payment or that are sponsored by adult sites.
8.
Can I Pick Which Sweeps I Want to Enter?
Sorry, but it really isn't possible to exclude
individual customers from one or more sweepstakes. Even if you don't
want the top prize, it doesn't hurt to enter. You may wind up with a "consolation
prize" that you can use! The worst that can happen is that you will
have to refuse to accept a prize you don't want.. If there is some other
reason you don't want us to enter you, please let us know. If it isn't appropriate
to enter you, it may not be so for any of our subscribers. If there
is a problem with a sweep, we want to know about it.
9.
Can I Send in Suggestions for Sweeps?
We are glad to hear your suggestions for additional
sweepstakes, and will try to add as many as possible. Keep in mind,
however, that for technical reasons, as well as time considerations, we
may not be able to add every sweep that you suggest. Since there are
only 24 hours in the day, we have to limit the number of sweeps we support
to those we can actually send within that time period!
10.
Can I Still Enter On-line Sweepstakes Myself?
We'll only relay entries for sweepstakes
you see on the Current Sweeps list,
and you should not type in your own entry for these sweepstakes on any
day in which they appear on the list. Feel free to enter any other contest,
however. There are plenty of one-entry, short-term and trivia type of contests
that we don't cover.
11.
Will Sweepstakes Sites Disqualify Our Entries?
Just as in the world of paper sweepstakes,
the organizations that run sweepstakes get to make all the
rules, so they make the ultimate determination whether or not
your entry meets their eligibility requirements. We can say, however, that
in order to disqualify these entries, the organizations that run the sweepstakes
will first have to take extraordinary measures to identify them. Whether
or not they do so depends on what they hope to achieve. We have ensured that
the organizations will not be able to track the referring URL, nor seperate
out your entry from anyone else.
12.
Do I Need An Internet Account to Subscribe?
You don't have to be a veteran Web surfer
to take advantage of our sweeps service. You will, however, need an e-mail
account that you can check once or twice a week. That's because almost
all online sweeps require an e-mail account, and many notify the winners
by e-mail, and require an e-mail confirmation before they'll
award a prize.
13.
Can Two Subscribers Use the Same Address?
Almost every sweepstakes limits entries to
one per e-mail address. Therefore, our system won't register
two users with the same e-mail address. If you are sharing an
e-mail address with a family member or friend, you'll have to sign
up for your own e-mail account with any of the numerous providers (see
12
, above).
In addition some sites limit entries to "one
per household." They may even kick out entries that have the same mailing
address. For that reason, it's a good idea to use a different mailing address
(such as a work address) for one of the parties.
14.
Will I Be Flooded With Junk e-mail?
You will receive a certain amount of
e-mail as a result of their participation. We can only control what
we can. Unfortunately, you may find an increase in mailings from the
companies that run the contests.
15.
Why Haven't I Received Any Entry Notices?
Not every company sends out entry notifications. And we have
no control over who does and who does not.
18.
What Do I Have to Lose?
When you sign up with our sweeps service,
you lose the opportunity to type your name, address, city, state, Zip
code, age, phone number and e-mail address over and over again on hundreds
of sweepstakes entry forms, wasting hundreds of hours on mindless, repetitive
tasks. Not much of a loss, is it? So why wait? Sign up today!
19.
Is there something wrong with automated entry?
Some sweepstakes in the world of paper do
not prohibit mechanically reproduced entries. Many do,
of course. Many online sweepstakes do not prohibit automated
entry. If a contest's rules prohibit automated entry,
we scrupulously honor that request. Our automation of your
entry is indistinguishable from the entry generated by your
own hand. It's clear that our customers are winning and winning
big. We play by the rules. Does it give you an advantage?
Yes it does!
