The concept of stellar evolution is central to our understanding about our universe. This module is divided into lectures introducing the candidate to new and more complex concepts to those explored in the certificate course. The lectures are a modification of the university class notes of Prof. B. Ryden and as such the copyright is aknowledged.
As with other units in the diploma course, assessment will be based on short and long answer questions.
Please note that the lecture notes provide an outline of the concepts and independent study will be required to complete the assessment questions.
There is no specific text for the module as many entery level university texts cover the concepts adequately - I have made some recommendations below
