Build: Medium build. Still fairly slender but starting to show signs of thickening at her waist.
Eyes/shape: Almond shaped brown eyes.
Hair/Length: Brunette hair, starting to grey slightly above her ears. Roslin’s hair reaches halfway down her back, but is kept neatly braided at the nape of her neck. She never wears her hair down!
Complexion: A medium complexion, as in she will burn slightly then go brown. She likes to take good care of her looks and she is always using creams and potions on her face and skin.
Facial features: Roslin has an oval shaped face with a small chin and pert, snub-like nose.
Style of dress: Being born and raised at Southern Boll Hold, Roslin wears very loose fitting skirts and shifts at work to help her keep cool. She also wears a curious type of long waist coat, made from linen, full of pockets to keep all sorts of strange objects, whether it be sweet things for the weyrbrats, or hide and stylus for note making. Being in such a high position, Roslin makes a point of being a neat and tidy person, thus setting an example to others.

Personality: Although a thoroughly pleasant person, Roslin takes her job very seriously and is not afraid to berate anyone for not doing their work properly. Despite this, she is considered a fair task master and is very much a respected person at the Weyr. She can be serious when need be, but prefers to appear good natured (which she is) and approachable. Roslin adores children and is very popular with the weyrbrats, always having sweet treats to hand for them if they are good. Since her partner, M’wan, died, Roslin is prone to bouts of silent reflection when she is on her own or idle for a few moments.

Background: Born the third child of Rosco and Linsa, Roslin claims she has as normal a childhood as possible at the busy Southern Boll Hold. After learning her ballads and lessons, Roslin would help her mother within the hold, whether it be cleaning or assisting with the food preparation. At the age of 16 turns, Roslin was searched by a Blue Rider from Fort Weyr. Whilst waiting for the clutch to harden on the sands, Roslin was put to good use aiding the current Headwoman at the Weyr, a hard woman to impress (scuse pun!) but Roslin managed to do it. It was unfortunate, but Roslin failed to impress at the hatching. When the next hatching occurred, Roslin was already pregnant by M’wan and therefore decided not to stand. She lost the unborn baby a month later.

At the Headwoman’s insistence, Roslin was promoted to her assistant and, for many turns now, they have had a good working relationship and an enduring friendship as well. Roslin has had 5 children by M’wan, her partner, and she loves them very much. She is also well sought after as a foster mother to the other dragon riders children, and usually fosters several at a time.

The turns have been good to Roslin, and she proved to be a worthy successor when the Headwoman finally retired. She was content with her life at Fort until M’wan was tragically killed during threadfall. Now, 2 turns later, she still mourns him. Feeling the first pains of joint ail in her left knee, Roslin earns for the warmth of Southern Boll once more.
