After a short while, Ash began to get over confident of himself, to the point that he began to beleave that whatever he did was right.
Just before the Korean war, Ash and a few others were chosen by a group of people calling themselves the 'Technocracy'. Claiming that they were part of a covert multinational effort to redure 'irregularaties' (Which, in a certain way they actually were), they told Ash in an interview that there was a special project being tested to improve skills and normal functions. Not really making someone a 'surerperson', but optermising their mental capability. Before his memories fragmented, he remembers the name of the Project, which hinted at its processes more then mildly: Skar tissue regeneration and biological assisted regeneration, also known as project number 285. Apart from this, he was toldthat it involved untested nuro-sergery. Not understanding a word of this, Ash accepted. It was the single biggest mistake in his life. From that second onward there come frightening images of the worst things he ever saw, all melded into one thing. Othough the initial parameters deemed the experement a success, the process was abandoned because the subjects rapidly 'degraded' mentally. Sure, the regeneration of certain parts of his brain improved a few skills, most notably his psycic abilities, but Ash also lost control compleatly. A kind of thing came of of his nightmares, and the only discription that he could think was 'Skarrbag', which is what it was called after that. The first few days shattered Ash. Even more horrifing was that the majoraty of the other patients were worse off. Some ranging from madness to instant death and unbeleavable horrendus actions. The Technocrats, appaled by the results, abandoned the project, burned the plans, and delt with the subjects. It was deemed that drugs would replicate the same effects more safely, and when the Vietnam War began, those experements begun. Eventually, those were too deemed a faliure, and the only real evidence of these experements are the 'Flashbacks' experenced by the subjects.
As for the subjects, the worst cases were 'put down', for many a mercy killing. The more managable, Ash included, were sent straight into Korea. It was beleaved the conflict would in one or another, kill them.
Ash was one of those who had medication, as it seemed to mildly help in supresing skarrbag, which was building up into a rage. Of the one hundred subjects that were givern 'treatment', only twenty three were not put down. Once they were tranqualised, they were moved in cargo crates towards South Korea. Basically, they were dumped in the middle of the devide between North Korea, and South Korea, and left to die. The medication that Ash had been givern ran out after about two days of wandering in the jungle, with abosolutly nothing to help him. He had no stones, and little energy left. Aslo, in material sence, he didn't even have a knife.
After his medication, he had to stop to fight with the thing inside him. He lost. Skarrbag, so it seems, could tap into Ashs abilaties, probably a result of the procedure, and use them far more effectivly then Ash could ever. Using these abilaties was high on Skarrbags agenda, only a close first to getting revenge on everyone and anyone. Wandering at a faster pace, anything, trees, people, or animals, gere forced aside by the powers that Skarrbag seemed to have. These seemed to be compleatly random, sometimes throwing bolts of electricity, somethimes fireballs.
Afer a further day of this rampage, Skarrbag was getting quite close to a village, named Sinup. However, things were turning against Skarrbag.
About a mile from Sinup, Skarrbag encountered a Red Fox. He was immediatly aware of the three tails that the fox had, but he compleatly ignored this: the Fox was in his way. All he said was "What do you think you are doing here? This is not where you belong". Staring down the Fox, Skarrbag made his attack. Unfortunatly, the second he had made eye contact, he was no longer in reality. Everything that he did was in his mind. Every attack, every punch, an illusion. Or it would have been, if he was givern a chance, in this mind fight, Skarrbag was outclassed beyond beleaf. He was hit, throawn, and in general, beaten up to such a state he couldn't stand. He could barly move, in fact.
Then the Fox walked up to Skarrbag, and told him: "I offer you a gift. You must use it wisely. I offer you back you life, and more then that. I offer you back control. Do not streach it, because the control will leave you if you are too emotional. I have seen what you have done, and I think you can do more good."
Touching Skarrbag on the forehead, Skarrbag was almost banished, or at the very least pacified. Ash was back, and Both Skarrbag and Ash had been givern an understanding, so that they can work together, if Skarrbag was ever needed.

The South Korean forces found ash the following morning, curled up in a fetal position, and whimpering silently. From then on he was a POW, chained up and occasionally beaten. This went on for about two year, mainly because nobody knew who he was, and that he spoke english, so thus was probably an enemy. Since the US Goverment never asked for his releace, because they didn't know about him, or any of the other subjects being dumped, Ash was never treated well, and the experence hardened him somewhat, and his hatred of the people that did this to him grew. Not the North Koreans, but the Tecnocracy.
After the conflict was ended, mainly due to US threats to use nuclear weapons, Ash was releaced, and spent the next ten years attempting to get enough money to get back to England. Eventually he got his money, and a new passport, and returned home, now an old Furr. After doing the odd job part time, he managed to save enough to retire and live in an old Furrs home, as he didn't have any place he owned.
