The She Dragon's Poems

Written by another Dragoness, but revised by me to suit my sights...
The She-Dragon

Swift as the wind she arises,
Proud as a crow and Flaming
Bright,
In the depths of darkened shoadows,
Beautiful,Noble,Chivalrus and
Deadly
Glistening moonlight in her exquisite
form,
Her silver voice allures them to their
doom,
The creature of great majesty sweet
mysteries
Brightly shining claws tame and
maim,
Brightly shining fangs that grace her
smile,
Charming beasts to become her feast,
Precious amber eyes so full of love and
wisdom,
Are mesmerizing, an enchanting trap,
Beware the perilous beauty of the
She- Dragon,
Yet, even as you do, surrender to it.
        Dragon Heart

 Darkness, shadows, silence,

All concealing what is in the night.

 Look deeper, penetrate the darkness

And see what lurks in the heart.

A sight beyond reality lurks there,

 A sight many fear,

A dragon in full glory stands,

 Waiting to be heard.

Many fight it, fearing the unknown,

 Knowing not what they do.

 The dragon does not fight,

 Wisdom guiding its thoughts.

 Death comes to the dragon,

Yet it lives still in the heart,

 Which will never forget

What it felt when the dragon was there.

Her He-Dragon is Found......

Never have I known such a kindred spirit, never
has another touched my soul with such intensities.
Before the Lord and Lady, I speak to you,
Beloved to dedicate myself to you for a year and a
day, that in this year and a day, we prove to
ourselves and the fates that we do indeed belong
together...learning, growing wiser over the years.
I swear to love you, appreciate and trust you;
I entrust you with my loyalty and devotion, my
body, my heart and my soul.
I promise to give you at least as much attention
and loyalty as you give to me. To treat you with
respect, pride and honesty. I will always do my
best to heal you when your sick to understand when
your "zippy" to hold you when your down, to love
and cherish you through thick and thin...To
handfast you next year beloved and be forever and
always my Lord.
 Dragon's Prayer

Uncommented:

O Lord, who made the dragon, and the dragon's open sky,

And gave to me a dragon's soul; a dragon's urge to fly--

Let me dance within your cloudscapes far beyond Earth's chain,

Let me rejoice in my grandeur, let me not grow vain!

Let me vindicate my honor with my fang and claw,

Let my raging heart show mercy, let that show no flaw!

Let me have the joy of all the shining gold I've stored,

Let no pauper-dragon go forth starving from my hoard.

And, Lord, should the need arise and I be called to fight,

Dragon-Maker, make me victor, and, God--help that knight!

   Dragon's Realm

Between the tear that falls...

and the smile that brightens,

there is a domain, I call my own.

A realm of fantasy, and freedom...

where I can soar on a whisper,

and glide into my dreams, revealed.

In this most special of places...

peopled with the real and fanciful,

I find myself, scaled and horned,

dancing upon the wind, winged.

Stopping only long enough...

to talk with some of its denizens.

What stories they spin and weave...

as they try to guide my flight.

Leading me onto paths untried...

with visions never before seen.

Opening my multifaceted eyes wide,

to the rivers of emotion flowing.

Until at last, I land, gasping...

trying to catch my breath...

curling my body tightly around,

until my snout reaches my tail.

And there we sit, my tail and I,

the circle joined...and complete.

		The Dragoness

From the darkened depths of the shadows, she rises

Swift as the wind, flame-bright, proud as a hawk

The moonlight glittering on her graceful form.

A creature of great mystery and majesty--

Beautiful, noble, valiant, and deadly.

Her silver voice can lure men to their doom,

Her brightly shining claws rend flesh and bone.

And the same sculptured fangs that grace her smile

Have charmed beasts into becoming her dinner.

Even her eyes, so full of lovely wisdow

Are mesmerizing, an enchanting trap.

Beware the perilous beauty of the dragon--

And, even as you do, surrender to it.

    A soul in flight

The master of mysteries awaits,

outside in the sybilant storm.

I look, and behold, high rises now the thunderhead.

I leap, and, with a jolt my wings catch the air,

circling higher and higher before the deluge.

Rain then comes down on my face,

bringing a strange irrational joy,

a oneness with the universe,

rare to me.

Flying, twirling, dancing through downdrafts

winging my way across the sky,

I fly in harmonies as old as dragonkind,

my scales glistening where they break into sun.

Updrafts, fighting their way to heaven, catch me

throwing me up into the crystal sky, through

crystals of ice and mist clouds,

to a high point where the blood pounds

through your head, and spots of bright color

dot your eyes.

Diving now the awesome view

shows the world as a tapestry

and me as one poor needle,

Sewing onwards.
