Settling-In Policy

We advise that when you first start at Nursery you stay as long as you feel is necessary. As each child is an individual we are guided by you and your child during this transition period.

Please do bring your child’s “comforter” with them preferable named. However it is advisable not to bring sweets and/or toys ,unless this is part of an organised activity.

We ask you to be honest with your child and always say goodbye to them and let them know you will be back soon.

You are always welcome to telephone the Nursery to check how your child is getting on during the session.

                            

 

Behavioural Policy

Good behaviour will be actively encouraged within the Nursery. All staff will use a consistent, firm and sympathetic approach to each individual child.

The Nursery adheres to a non-smacking, no threatening and no humiliation policy. The staff will use a positive approach as it is a particular behaviour that is unwanted not the child. Copies of all policies can be viewed within the Nursery.

 

Sickness Policy

At our Nursery we ask parents to keep their children at home if they appear at all unwell. Our parents are welcome to telephone us if in any doubt to seek advice from the Nursery.
