In accordance with Fire Regulations every child must be registered by the manager when they attend. Please register your child at the desk on arrival at each session so the manager knows if your child is in the Nursery.
The Nursery has been passed by the Fire Officer.
Regular fire drills will take place in accordance with social services regulations. This is so all staff and children become familiar with the fire drill and evacuation of the buildings.
The Nursery is kept in good order and conforms with Health & Safety Regulations. Therefore the Nursery will be secure at all times to maintain everyone’s safety. Children will be constantly supervised in and outside the building when in our care.
Children will only be released into the care of the person named on the enrolment agreement form. Staff must be informed if any other person is collecting your child. That person on arrival will need proof of identity before we release your child.
The Nursery has fully comprehensive insurance.
There is a first aider on the Nursery premises at all times.
Accidents will be dealt with accordingly by the first aider.
All accidents will be recorded in the accident book and countersigned by the parent / carer on collecting their child from Nursery.
There is a first aid box in the Nursery and it is regularly maintained.
It is important to notify the Nursery if your child contracts an infectious disease. Please do not send your child to Nursery if they have been sick / unwell at any time in the previous 24 hours.
If your child becomes unwell during the day at Nursery you will be contacted and asked to collect them.

If your child is on medication and attending the Nursery you will be asked to sign a medication form. If it is necessary for Nursery staff to administer medication to your child then you will be asked to give your consent in writing.
