Physical Planning Consultants India Limited is managed by a Board of Directors. The members of the board include Mr. Dilip Kumar Paul, Mr. Ashoke Ghosh and Mr. Dipak Kumar Paul.

Dilip Kumar Paul is a physical planner with an academic background in Civil Engineering, and City Planning. He has worked for several provincial governments in India since 1974.

As he gradually became frustrated with the attitudes and approaches prevailing in governmental systems towards public service, he decided to start an organization which would think and work simply. He established this company in 1983 and became its Managing Director.

He has prepared Master Plans for three small towns in the hilly states of Nagaland and Sikkim in eastern India. His Master Plan for Jorethang Urban Agglomeration in Sikkim is the first urban physical development plan selected for funding by the government of India for development as a model town in eastern India.

He has prepared 34 rural and renewable energy development plans which have facilitated the growth of employment opportunities in rural areas of most of the provincial states of north-eastern India. All these plans were funded by the Ministry of Non conventional Energy Sources of the government of India and the provincial governments. The approaches and methodologies he developed for preparing these reports have been emulated by numerous consultants all over India.

He has acted as the chief of an international team of consultants from England, Holland, India, and USA, for evaluating one of the rural development projects in Bhutan, for international funding.

He was actively involved as an advisor in setting up a plant tissue culture laboratory with technical collaboration with an company in Holland for producing 5 million plants annually for export to Europe. The project was the first of its kind in eastern India.

Dilip Kumar Paul oversees the activities of the team of professionals responsible for delivering, error-free consulting services, on time and within budget, in conformance with the stated requirements of our clients. He is complimented with professionals from the disciplines of geography, economics, sociology, statistics and computer science.

Ashoke Ghosh is an entrepreneur with wide experience of establishing a number of privately owned businesses. He is the managing director of a firm which is one of the largest importers of open pollinated, and hybrid seeds in India.

He has been the director of the company since 1983 and is actively involved in the policy decisions of the company.

Dipak Kumar Paul is a director of the company since 1983. He is involved in assisting the managing director in implementing the policies of the company.
