The Commodore 232 was a stripped-down Plus/4 in that it did not have built-in ROM programs. However it did have a user port for modem or printer interface, so it is a step up from the C16. The 232 was made by Commodore Japan as a trial run, and only ~100 NTSC units are known to exist.

The Commodore V364 enlarged the Plus/4 by adding a numeric keypad and speech synthesis module. Only one production model (pictured) and two pre-production models are known to exist.
