According to reports, some of Europe's biggest clubs have been alerted to the news that Newcastle have signed Jermain Jenas from Nottingham Forest for £5 Million.
Real Madrid are among a host of clubs who are once again expected to test Newcastle's resolve with a £20 Million bid for Kieron Dyer.
Bobby Robson has revealed Jenas has been signed for the future, and for immediate cover for Dyer who is out for 6 weeks. However, it is understood Newcastle may be tempted to sell Dyer for a huge fee, if Jenas impresses in the coming weeks.
Given Newcastle's transfer dealings of late, it is unlikely they would spend £5 Million on someone who is going to be a reserve, all be in the short term, so it seems someone may be making way.
Madrid were understood to be ready to make a bid after Dyer returned to full fitness, but their interest has been put on hold with his new set back. The Spanish club will monitor the situation, and things will become much clearer once he is back in first team action.
Any possible move will be put on hold till then.
