Batac is well-known as the birthplace of former President Ferdinand Marcos, who ruled the Philippines for more than 20 years. Yep, I was a Martial Law baby, too!
We had a brief stop at the Marcos Museum and the mausoleum, where we viewed what people believe as his preserved body, encased in a glass case (sorry, no pictures were allowed inside the mausoleum).
