Amuyao

Batanes
Trek through Batanes, an isolated group of islands in the northernmost frontier
of the Philippines. The natural elements have a created a rugged but beautiful,

unique culture of its native Ivatans.

Pinatubo
Trek to Mt. Pinatubo, passing through a harsh but beautiful, barren landscape,
lahar mudflows and eventually, the crater lake. This was relatively an unknown
volcano until it unleashed its wrath in 1991, creating one of the most
devastating and catastrophic natural disasters in history.

Bataan, you can enjoy a weekend of backpacking in a different locale. Try to
enjoy the cool waters at
the base. It's windy on top and the view is fantastic.

Tenglawan
The road less travelled leads to Tenglawan. Guarded by four mean spirits feared
by the local Kankanays, the climb is only for adventurers in search of a
different kind of high.

Tirad Pass
Traverse trek of historical Tirad Pass where the young Filipino General
Gregorio "Goyo" del Pilar fought his last stand to cover Aguinaldo's retreat
from the Americans in the Cordilleras in 1899. Tread the centuries-old Spanish
trail and take a peek at my group's travails as we hopped from town to town,
enjoying the friendliness and hospitality of the local folks we met.

Ugu
Traverse climb of Mt. Ugu, with jump off at Tinongdan, Itogon, Benguet and
descent to Central Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya. The multiday climb offers an
interesting alternative to more popular routes. There are lots of scenic views
on open trails and solitary walks along pine forests. Meet also Ibaloi natives
as one passes by numerous villages.
