A monthly and annual award "to the NHL team with the best monthly and yearly power-play percentage." From October 1997 to April 1998, the Duracell PowerPlay Award recognized the team that displayed League-wide superiority on the power-play, as power-play opportunities it had. In addition to a monthly on-ice trophy presentation recorded the best power-play percentage in the regular season.
