This 1st Poem was written for Lawrence Sharp,
with love by Diedre Quintana
" THE DISCONNECTION OF AN IDOLIZED MAN "
It has been some time
Since I saw you last
I wish I could have seen you more
But I cant change the past.
I tried to reach you
When I could find your number
I must have called at horrible times
You seemed always to slumber
I wrote you sometimes twice a day
But never mailed them out
I didnt think you'd read them
I had reasons for my doubt
You dont even call me
So, I dont know what I did
To make communications so
Completely invalid
If you dont want to speak to me
Then just tell me so
I cant afford to waste more stamps
This way at least I'll know,
*DQ*
Here's some more stuff from my archives, meaning it was written
years ago. I
was a lot more religious then. I can't say that I'm religous
now, but I
still think this is a very cool poem.
Sunday
It's nice to breathe once in a while
And sometimes, just sometimes, the sun makes me smile
But what's this sh*t I'm standing in
Believe me the excuses are wearing thin
And so we are made to pay
So there's nothing on this day
So this day we pray and pray our lives away
Just to hear the slack-ass say...
"I'll finish on the seventh day"
Yet thousands of miles of land forgotten
Frozen and cold and flat and rotten
Slowly the popsicle men tear their lives apart
At least they can say they finish what they start
So what's this sh*t I'm standing in
Existence will probably never see you again
And again we are made to pray
Because there's nothing on this day
We'll work our lives away
Trying to finish your stinking day
That's it, no more, good-bye, you're fired
And don't come back you f*cking liar.
And here's some stuff written by one of my favorite lyricists.
Though this
piece also deals with religon, I think you'll really like it.
Holy Wars
by Dave Mustaine
Brother will kill brother
Spilling blood across the land
Killing for religon
Something I don't understand
Fools like me who cross the sea
And come to foreign lands
Ask the sheep for their beliefs
Do you kill on God's command
A country that's divided
Surely will not stand
My past erased, no more disgrace
No foolish naive stand
The end is near, it's crystal clear
Part of the master plan
Don't look now to Israel
It might be your homeland
Holy Wars
Upon my podium as the know-it-all scholar
Down on my seat of judgement,
Gavels bang, uphold the law
Upon my soapbox, a leader out to change the world
Down in my pulpit as the holier-
than-thou-could-be-messanger of God
For those unfamiliar with the name Dave Mustaine, he is the
writer,
composer, vocalist, and lead and rythm guitar player of
Megadeth. This work
can be found on the 1991 album called "Rust in Peace".
(Lawrence:) Here's a poem I think you'll dig.
It's actually one of my newest songs,
but you have my permission to put these
words on your web page for the enlightenment
of others around the world. Maybe someone can
identify with what it's about.
I'll be sending poems in on a regular basis so
without further ado...
I STILL REMEMBER by L.Sharp
I still remember the times
When you said you love me
I still remember the times
When you liked to touch me
Just like you said
"We'll be together forever"
Whatever happened to that old flame?
I still remember the times
You enjoyed my presence
I still remember the times
When you called me heaven
You called out my name
When you came, time and again
Whatever happened to my babe
I still remember the times
When you opened up to me
I still remember the times
You enjoyed talking with me
Even after what I learned
I still loved you
Even now you're so far away
I won't forget you, Babe

Here's a litte one with a very clear and strong point
(no more f---ing love ones from me), there are more
pressing issues to be discussed, so...
Master(bator) Race by L.Sharp
Ain't got nothing better to do?
March up and down the avenue
Burning crosses, an act so holy and true
Raging fists in the air
Chanting over and over scared
And nobody f---ing cares
Nobody even cares
Ain't got nothin' better to do?
I can't tell an aryan from a Jew
How'd you like it if we started killing you
Get a f---ing job, trailer trash
OH OH OH They're taking our jobs
OH OH OH They're stealing our wives
OH OH OH We're better than you
Where are your jobs?
Where's your wife?
You think you're f---ing better than me?
You think you f--- better?
Shut up and finish s---ing my c---, b-----
Where's your job? Where's your wife?
I guess they found something better than
YOU!
Now, I really don't think everyone
(especially anyone who spends a lot of
time on this site) will agree with this
next one or even identify with it but I'm
not doing this for fame or recognition or
popularity with the honeys around the world,
no, I do this to get my point across, to tell everyone
what I think of the world and of different situations.
So...
Empty Skies by L.Sharp
Sun so bright and cold
Not a single ray touches skin
River runs backwards
Trailing satanicly up-hill, against wind
Time chips at the soul hard and fast, rips us away
Cold thoughtless violence true to thought
Contemplated every single day
Open mouth voice bereft brings silence
Muted word, muted life
Death occupies every detail and aspect of hope, existence, die?
Carbon-copy dreams of free-will and thought childish, mere
fantasy
Society habitually lies as hope is crushed away and
New claws rake the skies frantically
We awoke one day in a different place
Then emerged a different race
Scarred and hobbled, no chains or walls
Set to hold us in place
Despite this the memory remains unchanged, vivid to the day
In our demented minds we still feel the chains
Curse god & goddess and hate the empty skies
Inide thousands of angry voices in a chorus of cries
Though sun shines, it falls on numb, nerve-dead skin
Though the rivers run south, vision plays backwards within
Time, though gentle now, brings only sadistic rage
And ancient violence of thought does nothing to satiate
Open mouths bring forth screams of hatred derived
Our hands now reap death and wilt away life
We are far too demented and schizo to remember
We once were alive?
The sons and daughters you seek will cause to bring your
demonic demise
Leave well enough alone
Else you'll wish you had a god to stop the demolition
And see no salvation from the empty skies
