ANERYTHRISTIC

This type of variation is when the snake lacks all of its red pigment, and looks like a black-and-white version of a cornsnake. In anytherism type a the snake develops a bright yellow blotch on its chin and the sides of the face. Anytherism type b does not have this, and is often called 'Charcoal'.

This is a zigzag anerythristic, which is quite an intriguing pattern.

Acadia, my male Anery type B
Photo from my personal album
This is my newest corn member, Acadia! He is an anery type B, so he won't get the yellow (unless he was ID-ed wrong, its hard to tell as babies). He looks totally black, but his coloring is more a really dark brown.
