Thanksgiving Wreaths
Save and wash out 4-5 20 oz plastic pop bottles. Cut out a
large wreath shape from paper, grocery bag, or tagboard. Let
the children dip the bottle bottoms into fall colored paints
and then onto the paper to form a wreath. (brown, yellow,
orange, tan, red, dk green) When dry, add a raffia wreath
and a tag that might say "I'm Thankful For......."
------------------------------------------------
Cut out a corn shape from paper or tagboard. Use Q-tips to
decorate it using fall colors. Add some tan or green paper
for the husks and you'll have beautiful Indian Corns!!
------------------------------------------------
Let each child cut out magazine pictures of their favorite
things - people, food, toys, seasons, etc. Help them paste
each picture to a 9x12 sheet of construction paper. If you
cover them with contact paper, they can become placemats.
Or hang them on a bulletin board with the words, "The Things
We Are Thankful For".

Indian Corn
Have the children string 2 12" brown pipe cleaners with the
fall colored pony beads. Leave about an half inch on both
ends. Fold them both in half and twist together so the beads
don't fall off. Tie with a string to hand and add a raffia
bow. So cute!

Turkey
Cut out body as shown. Add facial features. Have the
children cut out triangles from various colors of construction
paper OR pre-cut them. I cut out several squares using my
papercutter and then cut them in half diagonally to make the
triangles. Glue them on in layers until the tail is as big
as desired.
