Cozy Cottage Child Care
Welcomes YOU!!

Aside from all the love, hugs, kisses and smiles, there is a political side to daycare too. I call it "political" because of the rules, regulations, laws and so forth that the government finds necessary. I agree there has to be regulations, but I think the government tends to forget what we're considering here - the children. The world is so worried about our future generation, but yet a 10 year old is able to sneak a hand gun into a school. That doesn't have much to do with daycare, so I won't even get started. But....We're so worried about the future generation, but yet we allow "just anyone" to care for our children. Manicurists, hairdressers, auto mechanics, chefs, etc, etc, all have to go to schooling of some sort, take tests and carry a license because their job affects the public. And child care doesn't???? Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't a person that takes care of children KNOW how to do it? I know parenting is a hard job - I've been there, but being a parent is not the same as caring for another person's child or a group of children. Do you realize there are some states out there that don't require any training or classes whatsoever to be able to provide care for children? Take a look and see what you think. Why is there such a big difference in the hours of training needed to continue to hold a license?
