Now let's look at one of the many information tags located in or on the Cortez. This one is an information tag (located behind the passenger companion seat) which lists the following: GVW empty; GVW loaded; front axle weight; rear axle weight; maximum load that can be added to either axle; tire inflation; recommended storage cabinet weights. Also, this an excellent floor plan representation. I would make the following comments: First, the 8800 GVW loaded is not an accurate number for most Clark Cortezes. Most Clarks weigh in excess of 9000 lbs. The other numbers worth noting are the recommended tire pressures. The 55 and 45 psi numbers are representative of the old bias ply tires of the '60s. With the current radial tires (usually "E" rated) these numbers are more likely to be 80 and 70 psi respectively.
Next, the ID tag.
