RIFLE CLASSES:

1. HUNTER RIFLE CLASS

  • Max 3/4" Muzzle
  • Max Weight 10.5 lbs with scope
  • Max scope setting 9 Power
  • Factory Ammunition Only

2. SPORTING RIFLE CLASS

  • Max 3/4" Muzzle
  • Max weight 10.5 lbs with scope
  • Can use Hand Loads
  • Any Scope

3. HEAVY BARREL CLASS

  • Maximum Weight 13.5 lbs with scope
  • 4. UNLIMITED CLASS
  • No Restrictions
  • Must be shot off sandbags

1000 YARD SHOOT RULES AND REGULATIONS

RIFLE JURY (3 PEOPLE)

  • Jury checks and governs weights and rules
  • Jury will apply sticker and initial/proof of inspection

SANDBAGS

  • All shooters to use Provincial sandbags

SHOT INTERVAL

  • One Minute Per Shot

CHAMBER SAFETY FLAGS

  • Flags must be used at all times, unless the rifle is in a case or being fired
  • Rifles must be carried with muzzle up and action open with flag in the chamber

NOT ALLOWED

  • No Professional Shooting coats or Gloves
  • No Slings or Swivel Studs
  • No Adjustable Butt Stops or Hand Stops
  • No Bi-Pods

GENERAL INFORMATION

PRE-REGISTRATION

  • Please Use the enclosed form to pre-register to enable us to plan the shoot.
  • We will be limiting the number of shooters to 100.
  • You can enclose your payment with the completed form or pay the day of the shoot

PRIZES

  • JUNIOR: 13 – 18 years (Low Aggregate Group) (SP/R, Hunter, HB) wins a 3X9 Leupold Scope (Donated by Bill’s Guns)
  • SENIOR: 19 years and older (Low Aggregate Group) (SP/R, Hunter, HB) wins a GPS
  • SENIOR: 19 years or older (High Aggregate Group) (HB, Unlimited) wins a Gun Case (Donated by Tweedsmuir Park Rod & Gun Club)

EGG SHOOT – 1 shot off the Bench. Winner receives a free dinner.

STANDING GONG – One shot at the Gong A special Prize

TEAM SHOOT

  • A 6 person Team will be randomly made up from the registered shooters. To be comprised of at least one ladt, one junior and four senior men. Prize – Ear Muffs (Donated by Babine Forest Products).

TROPHIES

  • 1st, 2nd & 3rd places in Junior, Senior Lady and Senior Men.

CONCESSION OPEN BOTH DAYS

  • Free Tables available for Shooters to display sports goodsto Trade or Sell!
  • Additional Official 1000 Yard Targets are available for $5.00 each.
