SUN SHINES ON SNOW SNAKE SHOOT
Sun and near tropic temperature of 1 degree greeted five action handgun shooters for the 2001/02 edition of the annual Snow Snake Shoot on the 30th of December.

The DOUBLE KNOCKOUT man VS. man competition is the annual wrap up for the year or start of next year's shooting season (which ever you choose). At any rate the handgunners of T.G.R.C. have met every winter between Christmas and New Year's Day to vi for bragging rights as to who's best when it's coldest. This year's final came down to man vs. woman when Robert Tiernan from Houston faced off against Sarah Morris, who had been undefeated to that point.

Robert had already been handed one loss when Ed Morris had finally found the front sight on his third duel. Ed was soon to fall to Sarah's speed in the next round.

In the final rounds Robert, who's known to be able to miss as fast as anyone DID manage to hold off Sarah's bid to be the first woman to win the "Snake".

Rounding out the field as 1st and 2nd losers were Glenn Pollock and Terry Morris.

Thanks to all who came out to shoot and to the cheering section that came with Ed and Sarah.

GOOD CHILI PAT, THANKS!

TERRACE ACTION SHOOTERS GET THEIR OWN CHIEF RANGE OFFICER
Long term IPSC shooter Ed Morris recently attended a range officer training clinic in the lower mainland and is now qualified as a Chief Range Officer.
CONGRATULATIONS ED!

B.C. Government and the Federal Government can't agree!
The B.C. Attorney General's Office recently announced that due to the inability to reach a funding agreement with the Federal Government that as of April 1st, 2002 that they would no longer enforce the Federal Gun Legislation in B.C. That means, and the Feds have confirmed this, that alltransactions regarding the Federal legislation would be handled by a Federal Firearms Office based in Edmonton.

What this really means for us in the long run is unknown but perhaps the loss of BC support many help cause the Feds to rethink the plan to register all long guns by the end of 2002.

What is really important for all of us gun owners is to remember that the FIGHT IS NOT OVER and the best thing that we can do is to continue to support PRO GUN ORGANIZATIONS such as the Responsible Firearms Owners of BC and the National Firearms Association.
