RULE REMINDERS AND AMENDMENTS

Just a reminder on a few rules, as well as a few that will change for next season.

#1-Line of sight at throw line.  No one is permitted in the line of sight of a thrower at the line.  This includes in front of thrower, or beside them.  The only exception is when a match is also taking place on a board beside yours, which right now should never happen.

#2-To take effect immediately: As some locations have multiple boards, it is ok to practice during a match, only when your not involved in a game.  In other words, if your in the game being thrown, you WILL NOT practice on another board.  If your sitting out that particular game, your more than welcome to.

#3-To take effect next season (Spring08)-You may no longer use ANYONE to sub.  A SUB may only be a .3 cricket avg, over the player they are replacing. So, if you are replacing a 2.4 shooter, the sub may only be a 2.7 shooter or lower.  The avg. will be based on cricket stats.  The only exception is if a player quits and a permanent replacement is named.  This applies to players I have league stats on.  You may still pick up some one at the bar to fill in and use the default formula provided I have no stats on them.  This does not apply to subs that are on your team sub list to begin the season.

#4-Also effective Spring08-Any sub used must have complete first and LAST name entered into the board.  This is so I no longer have to guess and make phone calls to find out who subbed that night.  Their will no longer be players on the stat sheet without last names, and if their not on the stat sheet, their wins and assists won’t count for your team.  This has been in the rules for years, but it will be enforced next season.

#5-Postponements WILL be made up within 3 weeks of cancellation. No ifs, ands, or buts, any match not made up within 3 weeks will be dealt with immediately. It won’t be a forfeit for either team, however you will receive wins and losses according to another leagues captain’s decision. (to prevent bias)  (for example: 3rd week passes on a Wednesday night match.  I contact all captains of Thursday night, that are not in the Weds league, explain the situation as I’ve heard it by both sides, and those captain’s will decide the wins and losses of your match). In other words….Make up your matches within 3 weeks so your teams fate isn’t determined by some one else.  Also so I don’t take dues out of your winnings for a match you never played.

#6-Also effective as of Spring 08: Due to some complaints of sand bagging, the first 4 weeks of the season you will receive a separate sheet with everyone’s averages on it.  You will not use the stat sheets, but you will use this sheet.  They may fluctuate a tiny bit from week to week, however a 3.0 cricket shooter that has a bad first week and throws a 2.0, will not go in at a 2.0 the second week.  I feel I know most of you well enough to know roughly what you should be throwing.  After 4 weeks you will begin using the stat sheet as normal.  Just a point of interest, 4 weeks is a long time to throw off, and you’ll probably kill your team in the standing if you do so.
