Dear Delriece...
Well... I'm 14 years old, and I've been a Christian all my life. For
the past year I've bee doubting my faith in the whole thing, and I feel a
strong pull towards Wicca. I want to drop the whole Christian thing,
and be a witch.
My best friend started practising last year, and when I found out I
gave her the whole fire and brimstone speech about how Wicca is evil and
all that crap. Now that I've read about it and researched it, I can
honestly say that I feel like I want to be a part of it.
So here's my problem: my whole family, and the majority of my friends
are all really serious Christians, and I would seriously be lectured,
despised, and probably disowned if they knew I was even remotely
interested in Wicca. It would probably be worse if they found out I was
actually a witch.
Most of the spells and rituals, etc. Are supposed to and are
recommended to be done outdoors, but I have nowhere that I can practise them, or
keep my tools and Book of Shadows secret.
First of all, I need to know if there's any way that I can practice
Wicca while still keeping it secret, so I don't get disowned.
Second, I'd like to know if you know of any informative and easy to
understand websites that could give me an easy way to start.
Thanks A Lot & Blessed Be,
Silver in Flamborough ONT Canada

Dear Silver,
I'm afraid I can't recommend that you keep this a secret from your parents. They are legally responsible for your religious upbringing! And, in four years, you'll have the rest of your life to explore your spirituality in whatever manner you choose! If you are in serious danger of being disowned, then you may want to put your spells and rituals on hold and instead just pray.
Light!
Delriece
