Merry Meet Delriece...
I am currently cathloic and well all my life
Ive never agreed with their ways. About six years ago I was reading up
on the wiccan religon and have been studying it on and off since then.
I have wanted to convert to the wiccan religon now for sometime now but
dont know how to go about doing so. I want to be a solitary
practishioner (sorry about the spelling) but dont know how to go about the self
initation. I have looked it up on the internet but Im not sure if its
correct and some of the things Ive read seem too out there....ie. going
into the woods naked ect. I live in the city and I think if anyone
seen me doing this I would be brought to jail or raped if some strange man
was walking around. Well what I guess Im really asking is there a
better more private way to initate myself into the Wiccan religon. I hope
to hear from you soon!

Indeed you are smart to not follow through with everything you read! Ideally, the self dedication ritual should be one that you construct yourself! This is supposed to be you introducing yourself to your deities and dedicating yourself to your own personal path! Nobody can direct that for you! You can take suggestions such as lighting a main candle that represents you from the flames of those from the four quarters, or such as taking on a new Wiccan name, but ultimately this is your time. Make it yours and it will be more special.
