 Oh, yes. In fact, the more you see and know of Eckankar, the more revealing the similarities are to Catholicism and other forms of Christianity. The Eckist calls their devil the Kal Niranjan. According to Eckankar teachings, all world religions, saviors, reformists, saints, angels and spiritual teachers work for the Kal entity. None are any good or to be trusted. Only the Living Eck Master is real, all else false. In the Eckankar rationale of things, God (or the Sugmad) created the Kal and turned over the creation to his not so kindly ministrations. Thus, while hiding behind the skirts of the Kal, God Itself doesn't have to get involved in the messy business of humankind.
The writings are heavily polarized on this point. All life is viewed as a simple black and white process - things are either "of the ECK" or "of the kal". If you are a servant of the Kal, that makes you a dyed-in-the-wool enemy of Eckankar.
