Unknown Enemies
Part Sixteen
Lion-O awakened first the following morning. As he looked to his side, the memories of last night came flooding
back. Cheetara was snuggled close to him, soaking in all his warmth and touch from him as much as possible. Although
this was what he wanted to do with Cheetara, he knew it was a mistake to go to bed together so soon, especially
with so much problems between them and the situation they got themselves in. How can Cheetara expect to go back
to Thundera without facing the consequences of her actions as leader of the Cheetahs? Yes, she was forced into
it and felt she had no other choice but to command, but the citizens particularly the Lions will not forgive her
as easily as he and would want to see her pay for her part.
And what about him? He was the Lord of Thundera. Once their relationship and children are discovered, his people
will not respect him as leader and he didn't know what to expect from his fellow ThunderCats. They didn't know
he was here. He told Panthro he was leaving on an urgent, private mission and would get back to them as soon as
possible. It's been two days now and he was certain the ThunderCats were wondering about him. If they tried to
find him with the tracking device on the Feliner, they would find it disabled and become even more worried.
As much as he hated to, he had to get out of bed and get on with some important matters without the children around.
He slipped out of bed carefully and pulled the covers back on Cheetara so she wouldn't get cold. After dressing,
he left the room and contacted Talia, who was fine to reply with Lion-O's suggestion. It wasn't as if she had a
choice anyway. After talking with Talia, Lion-O went to the twins room and got them up, washed and dressed for
Talia to pick them up. It amazed him how the twins easily went along with him. It proved a good sign to Lion-O.
If they easily went along with his request now, it'll be much easier for them to understand he was their father.
After Talia picked up the twins, Lion-O checked on Cheetara and she was still sleeping. This left him to take care
of another matter before she awakened. He left her place and quickly headed for the Feliner. Once inside he opened
communications to Cat's Lair. Snarf appeared on the screen.
"Lion-O! Snarf, where are you? We've been so worried. Where did you go?"
Lion-O kept himself from rolling his eyes. He should've known Snarf would be on the monitor. "Snarf, I'm fine.
Alert everyone to the Council Room. I have something to tell them."
The ThunderCats immediately met in the Council Room wondering what Lion-O had to say to them. Panthro turned on
the large monitor in the room where Lion-O spoke a secret he kept from them. They listened as Lion-O explained
everything about Cheetara--their relationship and their children. To say they were shocked, upset and disappointed
was an understatement.
"I can't believe this was going on behind our backs!" Panthro was outraged.
"I understand you didn't know Cheetara was the Cheetah Leader but what were you thinking secretly getting
involved with someone while you were engaged to Leela?" Tygra questioned. He was angry at Lion-O's actions,
too but he held his temper in better check than Panthro.
"Is the reason why you didn't put all the blame on Cheetara for what happened in the war because of your relationship
with her?" WilyKit asked.
"What are you gonna do?" Her brother asked.
"I raised you and you go and do this!" Snarf wailed. "Where did I go wrong?"
Their reactions weren't a surprise to Lion-O, especially Snarf's. "I understand your anger but I want to bring
Cheetara and my children back to Thundera," Lion-O answered and the group didn't look too pleased with that
idea.
"Wait a minute," WilyKit said suddenly. "I'm under the impression that you still love Cheetara. You do realize there will be ramifications on us, the
ThunderCats over this matter?"
"Not just us," Tygra added. "But you in particular, Lion-O. Your people will not think highly of
you on what you've done and Cheetara is a wanted to criminal regardless if she's fully blamed or not for what happened.
If she returns, she has to face trial for her actions. Do you understand that?"
"I do," Lion-O answered solemnly.
"Does she understand that?" Panthro asked.
Lion-O was irritated with Panthro but he knew the Panther would have a short temper about this. Panthro never liked
being kept out of anything and he hated surprises. "Yes, she does, and she doesn't want to return because
of that and what our children may face."
"So, she's planning on staying where she is? Coward," WilyKat muttered. "What about her kids? Don't
they deserve to know the truth about their heritage? Lyle's the future Lord of the ThunderCats. Is Cheetara going
to deny her son that?"
"What do you expect her to do, Kat?" Kit asked her brother. "Return, face trial, jail and be separated
from her children? Or stay where she is and have her children live normal lives? If I were her, I would stay where
I am."
"Her needs shouldn't matter when the future of an entire planet hangs in the balance," Kat argued. "We
don't have an heir and the people have been demanding this for years. It got even worse when Lion-O ended his engagement
to Leela. Now we have an heir and the mother is the Cheetah Leader who caused the deaths of many Thunderians. If
Lion-O wants to have another heir with another woman, that's fine but I doubt he will do that. We have an heir
and Lion-O is right to claim what's rightfully his, even at the mother's expense."
"I didn't say that, WilyKat," Lion-O said. This was getting out of hand.
"Then what are you gonna do?" Kat asked. "You know she has to come back. Is she going to be so selfish
to stay on Athena that she will deny what is rightfully her children’s'? Is she going to be a coward and avoid
her responsibilities for her actions?"
"Do you see this, Lion-O?" Tygra asked his leader sharply. "If we're arguing about this amongst
ourselves, imagine how the people of Thundera will deal with this?"
"Do you see the consequences of your actions?" Panthro asked. "This scandal may cost your title."
Lion-O knew the ThunderCats wouldn't take the situation kindly but he didn't think it would come to this. And losing
his title? Lion-O never thought of that. He was the hereditary lord. The rightful lord. He never thought he would
lose his title but if his people lost their faith and respect in him, what would happen? A ThunderCat Lord relinquishing his throne has never happened before. If he had to relinquish
his title, he would have to pass it to a fellow ThunderCat or strong leader of the Lion Clan, and if Lyle and Christina
weren't accepted as his rightful heirs, the current ThunderCat Lord would have to produce an heir. He never thought
his actions would have such ramifications on him, the future of the ThunderCats and the future of Thundera as well.
What have I done?
*********
For the first time in years, Cheetara felt safe, protected, at peace. She didn't have to worry about looking over
her shoulder and think someone was after her and her children. Even though she was Athena far from Thundera with
a new identity, a new life for years now, she still felt unsafe. She was always careful of what she said about
her past, always careful of every new person she met. Now she didn't feel that way. Being in Lion-O's arms last
night, she felt she was safe and everything would be all right.
And yet as she looked on the other side of her bed, she realized she was alone but still safe. The water running
from her shower told her Lion-O was in there. His presence was near and no matter what it had always soothed her.
It soothed her hours ago as he held her as they slept. Whenever he was with her, things always felt better and
yet....
"This was a mistake," Cheetara told herself. "A horrible, horrible mistake." She looked towards
her bathroom door as it opened and Lion-O stepped out with only a towel around his waist. She bit her lip and turned
away trying to ignore the emotions stirring in her. "This is wrong."
Cheetara murmured to herself but Lion-O heard her. "What is?" he asked.
Cheetara looked at him again and quickly turned away at the sight of his bare chest. "Do you mind putting
on some clothes?"
"Why?" Lion-O joked. "I've got nothing to hide from you." He saw Cheetara refused to look at
him. "All right. You win."
Cheetara looked up at her mirror near her window and saw Lion-O dressing.. She closed her eyes again. This was
too much. She had to get out and away from him and get a control on her emotions. She shouldn't feel tempted by
him. She should feel angry. Yes, angry she told herself. She didn't give him the right to use her shower. He used
it as if he had the right. Of course allowing him to sleep with her did open invitation for him to stay the night,
but that was all. He was only staying a night and leaving right now. She didn't want her children to know he spent
the night and in her bed. They could come in at any minute and how would she explain herself.
"I...I have to go," she said suddenly. She looked in his direction, grateful he at least had some pants
on. Strange she thought. He looked so different in civilian clothes. "I have to check on my kids."
"Our kids," Lion-O corrected her as he button his shirt. "Talia has them."
Cheetara's mouth dropped. "Talia has them? What do you mean?"
"I called her an hour ago, got the kids up, dress them and she took them to her place. I figured it was best
that we talk alone."
Cheetara's blood boil. Just who did he think he was? "How dare you?! Who are you to come in and take over!"
"Take over?" Lion-O sounded incredulous. "I wanted some time alone with you. We have to talk about
this," Lion-O said reasonably.
"There's nothing to talk about! You have no right to get rid of my kids without telling me!"
"They're my kids, too or did you forget I was there?" Lion-O glared at her as he was slowly losing his
cool. This was not how he wanted to handle the situation. It was bad enough already.
"It doesn't matter you were there when they were conceived. I was the one who took care of them since birth."
"Only because I didn't know about them!" Lion-O argued. He stopped and took in a calming breath. The
last thing he needed was to lose his temper. "Look, we both know the situation of the past. Let's deal with
the present and future."
"Future? Future of what?"
"Of all of us."
Us? She couldn't believe him and how thickheaded and determined he was. Cheetara wasn't going to let him get his
way. "It's simple. You're going back to Thundera and I'm staying here with the kids."
"No!" Lion-O was firm. "I'm not leaving without you or the kids." Lion-O couldn't believe Cheetara.
How dare she do this to him?
Cheetara shook her head. "You don't get it, do you? Don't you realize what this will do to you if it's discovered
you fathered children with a sworn enemy of the lions? You'll lose all the respect of your people."
"I don't care. They will understand. Times have changed."
Cheetara scoffed. "I highly doubt that, but if you want to be stubborn, fine. Just think about your children.
Imagine the scrutiny and criticism they will get. It's not just about us anymore, Lion-O. We're parents. We have
to think about our children's safety and not what is rightfully theirs."
Lion-O expected Cheetara to go this route just as WilyKat did in his criticism. "I know what you're saying,
but everything will work out."
"Nothing will work out!" She yelled, hoping he would get it. "Don't you see? I'm a wanted criminal.
I can't go back to Thundera."
"I can give you a pardon," Lion-O offered.
Cheetara chuckled at that. She even smiled at him. "I married you. I'm sleeping with you. I even gave birth
to your children. I think your decision will be biased." She knew she had Lion-O there and she decided to
go on to prove to Lion-O it wouldn't work if she left. "Have you told the ThunderCats about us and the kids?
Do they even know where you are right now?" His response was silence meaning they didn't know. "They
don't know you're here." She snorted. "Still keeping secrets, eh, Lion-O?" She smiled but it wasn't
pleasant. "Why don't you tell them? Their reaction will be a fraction of what Thundera will think."
"You have this all figure out, don't you?" Lion-O spoke sardonically. Seems the only way to win this
was to throw things back at Cheetara as she was doing to him.
"Of course. One of us need to. One of us has to think without our head in the clouds."
"I did tell the ThunderCats and they weren't pleased with my actions in the past and were divided on what
should happen." Ha! Let her take that he thought arrogantly.
The surprise on Cheetara's face was clear. She didn't think he would tell. Cheetara recovered quickly as she responded,
"Then you see I can't go back."
Lion-O knew he was going to regret using a dirty tactic but at the moment now, he didn't care. "Is this how
you're going to be with our children? They get into a situation and they have to hide and lie about it until it's
forgotten. Life doesn't work that way."
Cheetara laughed at Lion-O. "Oh, now you want to sound mature to the situation? It's too late for that."
"No, it's not. I now fully understand the consequences of my actions. I understand what I did has jeopardize
my future, our children's future and the future of Thundera, but I'm going to be an adult and face it. I won't
hide it. Not anymore."
Cheetara didn't like the way Lion-O was talking. "What are you saying?"
"I'm going to tell the people of Thundera my relationship with you and our children. If I have to relinquish
the throne because of my actions then so be it."
Cheetara shook her head in denial. "No, you can't do this! If the Thunderians know where I am, they'll come
after me, our children! You're endangering everyone if you do this!" Before Cheetara knew it, she lunged forward
and attack Lion-O, beating him with her fists pounding his chest. She was angry, no furious! She never felt this
mad before. "How dare you! I won't let you harm our children! I won't let you!!"
Lion-O took the beating and it didn't hurt. To stop her, he grabbed her wrists and gently held them. Cheetara struggled
to get out of his grasp but couldn't. "No harm will come to you or our children. I promise you, but I have
to confess my wrongful actions."
"Wrongful actions?"
"I had a relationship with you while I was engaged to another woman. I didn't know you were the Cheetah Leader
at the time but it was wrong and I fathered your children without knowing. Even though I have suffered for my actions
in silence, I still have to make it known to my people what I did. I was once told I would have to take the bad
with the good as Lord of the ThunderCats. It's time I did that."
Cheetara was outrage. "You'd risk the safety of our children because of your guilt?"
"No. I promise you they will be safe but for our children to have the life they deserve, we have to atone
for our mistakes."
"The life you're offering has me in prison and you relinquishing your throne. How can that be the life our
children deserve?! Nothing good comes from anyone knowing this." She struggled to break out of his grasp but
he held her tightly. "Let me go! Let me go! I want to save our children and you want to harm them!"
As much as Cheetara tried fighting Lion-O, he continue to hold her off. He suddenly pulled Cheetara in a hug holding
her tightly. Cheetara's attacks finally stopped. She couldn't fight anymore. She was outmaneuvered and wasn't strong
enough to take down Lion-O, especially as he held her like this. She couldn’t fight. She couldn't stop Lion-O and
so she began to cry, not for herself but for the horrible future that could happen to her children. She cried loudly,
painfully as her heart was broken into several pieces. Her children may suffer for the rest of their lives and
it would be their father's fault and she couldn't stop him.
Lion-O held Cheetara tighter and stroke her hair softly. He sank onto the floor, taking Cheetara with him holding
her and caressing her softly as he spoke gently. "It's all right, my love. It's all right to be scared. You've
been scared for so long, haven't you? You've been all alone for so long, but I'm here now and everything’s gonna
be all right."
The thoughts of being safe and protected returned to Cheetara as it always did when she was near him. Even in her
darkest moment now, she felt safe and it was Lion-O who was going to ruin things for her and their children. She
didn't understand. How can she be safe when she knew danger was waiting for her and her children?
"I see it differently," Lion-O continued. "We'll face our wrongdoings together and take it from
there."
"You won't take no for an answer?" She hoped he would but she knew him too well. He would reject the
idea.
Lion-O shook his head. "No."
"No matter where I go, you'll find me?"
"Yes." And she believed it.
Cheetara realized she had no choice but to go with Lion-O. Now that Lion-O knew of the children, there was no way
she could get away now. He sealed their fate as well as their children's. She didn't care what would happen to
her if she died or were imprison but her children....losing their mother and the life they would face. That's what
she couldn't take. It was that thought that gave Cheetara enough strength to pull herself away from him and reject
the blanket of comfort she always felt with Lion-O. "I can't believe I fell in love with a man like you."
Her voice was cold and bitter. "You go ahead and tell the children you are their father. Take us all back
to Thundera to face their cruel future and know that I will hate you for the rest of my life."
*******
Cheetara embraced her children eagerly as they came through the doors that afternoon. Their presence was deeply
welcomed to the cold silence that Lion-O and Cheetara had for each other the rest of the day. Cheetara tried to
forget what happened that morning as she held her children. This would be the last happiness they'll have for a
while.
"I've missed you so much," Cheetara said. She saw Lion-O standing in the doorway smiling. How could he
smile knowing what he was about to do to them?
The twins didn't see their mother's angry _expression when they noticed Lion-O. They smiled eagerly at him and
Lion-O smiled widened even further. It was amazing to Lion-O how close they became with him over the past days,
how they easily trusted him and bonded with him. Maybe it was the sixth sense the twins inherited from their mother
that made them trust him so fast. A dread of doubt began to seep into Lion-O as he stared at his children. What
would their reaction be when they learn he's their father? The future of their mother's trial and his scrutiny
didn't matter now. Lion-O knew he could easily have the children distracted from that. However, if the verdict
did separate them from Cheetara, what would he do?
"Lion-O!" Lyle’s eyes lit up when he saw him.
"Lion-O!" Christina’s eyes lit up as well.
Cheetara reluctantly released her children so they could go to Lion-O. "Hey, you two," Lion-O lifted
both children off the floor in his strong arms. "How was your visit with Talia?"
"Good!" The twins said and the children chattered on to what they did. Afterwards, they looked around,
their faces confused.
"What's wrong?" Lion-O asked.
"Where's the cake?" Lyle asked.
"And the ice cream," Christina added.
"And our gifts!"
"What?" Lion-O asked.
Oh, no, Cheetara realized. In all that has happened in the past days, Cheetara had forgotten the twins birthday.
They turned three today. It suddenly hit her as to why they eagerly agreed with Lion-O and left with Talia. They
thought a party was being made for them. Cheetara always created a surprise party for them. Why would they think
this year would be any different?
"It's our birthday," the twins said.
"Oh," Lion-O realized and felt a deeper turning of hurt his heart as he realized he didn't know his own
children's birthday. "I'm sorry. I didn't know but I will make it up to you. Right now, I have something to
say." Cheetara looked on as she saw Lion-O take the twins into the other room. She knew he was going to tell
them he was their father.
Lion-O placed the twins on each side of him on the sofa. He looked at them intently knowing things will be different
once he said what he had to say. He saw Cheetara entering the room and sitting in a cushioned seat across from
him.
"Lyle, Christina, there's something I have to tell you. It may come as a surprise."
"What will?" Christina asked.
"Have you ever wanted a father?"
The twins looked at Lion-O perplex. It was adorable to him how they scrunched their face in confusion at the question.
"You mean a Daddy?" Lyle asked.
"Yes."
"I dunno. What's a Daddy do?" Christina asked.
"It's a Mommy but a guy like me," Lyle answered.
Lion-O chuckled at the response. "Close enough. A Daddy helps a Mommy raise the kids. He also takes care and
protects the Mommy." Cheetara kept herself from rolling her eyes at that comment. If he wanted to protect
her, why was he taking her back to Thundera?
"We don't have a Daddy," Christina said. "It's only Mommy, me an' Lyle."
"Actually, you do have a Daddy. He didn't know about you until now." Lion-O paused as he stared at the
children What would they think he asked himself before saying, "I'm your Daddy."
Lyle and Christina stared at Lion-O while Cheetara only waited in silence to hear their response. Lion-O could
feel his stomach turning over as the twins silence grew. It felt like hours before they responded when it was only
a few seconds.
"Where were you?" Lyle asked.
"I didn't know about you."
"Why?" Christina asked and looked at Cheetara. Cheetara felt her heart drop. How did her daughter know
to look at her? She was too young to understand that.
"It doesn't matter," Lion-O said. "It only matters that I'm here now and I want to be in your and
your Mommy's lives forever. I want you to live with me."
"Where?" Christina asked.
"On Thundera. My planet."
"We like it here," Lyle said.
"I know, but my home is bigger and you'll like it. I have a pool, lots of land, lots of animals. It's a very
beautiful place."
"Will Mommy come with us?" Christina asked.
"Of course she will."
"Are we going, Mommy?" Lyle asked. He needed her confirmation to be sure.
Cheetara nodded her head. "Yes, we are." She only sounded cheerful for her children's sake. Inside, her
heart was breaking.
"Do we call you Daddy?" Christina asked.
"Yes, if you want." Lion-O hugged his children. The children hugged back and as Lion-O held his children,
he felt himself growing closer to them but growing further from Cheetara.
********
After a long talk, the twins birthday was forgotten. All they wanted now was to know more was about their father,
the ThunderCats and the planet Thundera they will now be living on. Cheetara was happy with the twins eagerness
and excitement but sadden they don't know the whole truth, sadden she may be separated from them.
They boarded the Feliner two days later filled with the twins excitement and nervousness of their parents. The
flight was twenty-four hours and Cheetara heart pounded wildly as she saw the planet on the screen. Thankfully,
the twins were sleeping in another room and not witnessing their mother on a verge of a panic attack. She chastised
herself for forcing Talia to stay on Athena. She didn't want to bring her friend into this who was married and
had a life of her own.
As Cat's Lair came into view, Cheetara saw the ThunderCats standing outside waiting. Lion-O had only ten minutes
earlier told them they were close. They were waiting to arrest her she knew. Cheetara hadn't spoken to Lion-O since
her agreement to return even though Lion-O tried attempts at conversations.
Once they landed, Lion-O and Cheetara left the ship without the twins. They both agreed to do this privately. By
Lion-O's orders, the ThunderCats ordered all guards to leave the ThunderCat premises and reassigned them to other
areas on Thundera. Cheetara kept a respectful distance from Lion-O as they walked to the ThunderCats. She stopped
when Lion-O did, two feet in front of the ThunderCats.
All the ThunderCats stared at Cheetara silently. Cheetara remained quiet and refused to look weak in front of them.
She wasn't going to let them intimidate her. She could imagine what they were thinking of her and her children
but she wasn't going let that get to her. She had her dignity. Be dignified even in defeat she was once told by
Che'kar and Cheetara was determine to do that.
Tygra stepped forward. "Lady Cheetara, you are under arrest for crimes committed and your role in the Cheetah
War. Under your terms of surrender and under the advisement of Lord Lion-O because of your current situation,"
he shot a disappointed look at Lion-O, "you will be under permanent house arrest here at Cat's Lair now and
during the duration of your trial. You are not allowed to go a mile beyond the perimeters of Cat's Lair. Do you
agree to this terms?"
"Yes."
"Also under the agreement, the ThunderCats agree to keep your crimes a secret to Prince Lyle and Princess
Christina and protect them and you at all cost."
Cheetara nodded and held out her right hand. Tygra place two white bracelets on her right arm. "These are
your tracking devices and will let us know where you are at all times. You are not allowed to take this off. If
you do, you violate our agreement and will be sent to prison."
"I understand." Cheetara said. She stepped back and touched the bracelets. It was simple white bangles
and nothing at all what she thought the tracking device would be.
"Now that's over, let's bring the kids in," Lion-O said and Cheetara glared at him but followed as he
returned to the ship.
"I guess the honeymoon's over," WilyKit commented once Lion-O and Cheetara entered the Feliner again.
"I've never seen a married couple act so cold together."
"Kit, now is not the time for jokes," Tygra chided her.
"When will it be?" Kit asked and a glare from Panthro silenced her.
When the Feliner opened again, two children stepped out holding Cheetara's hands looking around at the new surroundings
before them. Cheetara hidden her true feelings as she smiled as she approached the ThunderCats once more. Lion-O
followed after them carrying some of his and the twins luggage. The ThunderCats were surprised at Cheetara's change
of behavior. Her way of hiding her feelings left an unsettling thought in Cheetara. Could and should they protect
someone who could hide their feelings so well?
"Lyle, Christina, these are the ThunderCats your father told them about."
"Hi," the twins shyly smiled at the group.
Panthro laughed as he stepped forward and knelt to the twins level. "There's no need to be shy around us.
If anyone threatens you, just tell me and I'll beat 'em up for you."
"Daddy said he'll do that for us," Christina said and Panthro laughed.
One by one the ThunderCats introduced themselves and made the transition of welcoming the twins a lot easier than
Cheetara had suspected. Of course she only believed the ThunderCats were nice to them because they were Lion-O's
children and not ordinary kids. Throughout the day, Cheetara was aware of how closely the ThunderCats watched her
and Lion-O's actions; the distance between them, the coldness she had towards Lion-O and her quietness towards
everyone else.
Once the children were put to bed that evening, Cheetara retired to her room. It was larger than the one on Athena
and it gave her an odd sense of security. She didn't argue with Lion-O when he told said her room was adjacent
to his, giving him easy access to her room. It didn't matter Cheetara told herself as she unpacked, her relationship
with Lion-O was over and they will never be as they once were. Even if Lion-O desired her and proved her she was
still attracted to him, Cheetara was adamant nothing else will happen between them. The incident on Athena will
never happen again.
********
Lion-O solemnly sat in his chair in the Council Room. He quietly watched as Panthro check to see if all the technical
equipment were working on the monitor and the satellite that will contact everyone on Thundera. The speech Lion-O
will make will go to every home on Thundera. Tygra assisted Panthro even though he was against the whole matter.
He thought it was best to not tell the Thunderians about this. It has been four years since the war and many people
may have forgotten what Cheetara looked like. She had a different hairstyle and with a little makeup, different
camera angle and clothes, she could fool people. Lion-O could easily say he met a Cheetah and fell in love with
her and no one would think it was the Cheetah Leader. The only problem with that idea would be the children's age
and it's conflict with the timeline of the Cheetah War. Still, despite his disagreement he chose to remain by Lion-O's
side.
"I want to thank you all for welcoming the kids," Lion-O said quietly before adding, "despite your
feelings on the situation."
"We would never judge the children, Lion-O. None of this is their fault," Tygra said. "Where are
the children anyway?"
"They're with Snarf. He's keeping an eye on them as I make this announcement." He smiled as he recall
a conversation with Snarf. "He said he's going to make sure they don't turn out like me."
Tygra and Panthro refused to laugh at the situation. The matter was too serious for jokes.
"And Cheetara?" Panthro asked, ignoring Lion-O's comment.
"I haven't seen her, but I'm sure she's around. I know you would've mention her violating any rules,"
Lion-O responded.
"We're only doing our job," Panthro said. "And we will continue to do it when the trial begin. We
won't be bias when passing judgment on Cheetara."
"I know," Lion-O said solemnly, wishing they would but he knew how loyal and strict they were to the
Code of Thundera. "Are we ready?"
"Less than ten seconds."
Lion-O straightened in his seat and when he was signaled by Panthro began to speak. "My fellow Thunderians,
the Cheetah Leader has returned to Thundera. The story is long, complicated and nothing will be the same on Thundera
ever again."
Return to Lady Thundera's Fanfics
