Unwanted Entrapment
Part Six
Cheetara sat in a private quarter of Cat’s Lair, watching the battle rage against the Mutants. Ratilla lead an
angry mob of Mutants to attack Thundera on a holiday. Just like the Mutants to attack when Thundera’s guard was
down.
Once the attack happened, Lion-O escorted Cheetara to the secret room under Cat’s Lair. Lion-O designed the room
himself with the intention of using it in case the ThunderCats had to evacuate to a safe place. Cheetara never
thought Lion-O would use it to keep her while he went out to battle.
The room was state of the art, similar to the Control Room. Cheetara could view the battle perfectly. Cheetara
rubbed her stomach worriedly as she watch Lion-O on the screen.
“Don’t worry, baby. Daddy’s gonna be all right.”
Her heart ached wanting to be out in battle as well fighting the Mutants, protecting her husband. Being pregnant
left Cheetara vulnerable which was something she didn’t like. She couldn’t even use her telekinetic powers in fear
of overworking her body putting strain on herself and her babies. Running was another thing she couldn’t do while
pregnant. But it was worth it Cheetara thought as she rubbed her stomach. It was worth it.
After she gives birth, Cheetara was looking forward to getting back in shape, running and testing her powers again.
She smiled wickedly thinking of the ways she and Lion-O could have fun with her telekinetic powers.
Cheetara sighed relieve as Mutant ships retreating Thundera filled the screen. Scanning the battle area, all the
ThunderCats were well and accounted her. Cheetara rubbed her stomach soothingly. “Daddy’s fine, baby. He’s all
right.”
Cheetara rose for her seat and rubbed her back. Her babies have been acting up lately. With her getting bigger
and closer to her due date, the babies had less room to move and showed Cheetara how uncomfortable they were by
kicking her.
Less than twenty minutes later, the doors opened and Lion-O raced inside. He dropped the Sword of Omens and ran
into Cheetara’s waiting arms. She sighed relieved; only now when he was in her arms could Cheetara relax. She kissed
him and held him close once more. He was sweaty, smelly from battle but he was all right.
“Oh, Lion-O, I was so worried.”
“I’m all right,” Lion-O told her. “How are you and the babies?”
“We’re fine. I…oooh,” Cheetara stepped back to rub her back.
“Is your back bothering you again?” Lion-O observed.
“Just the babies acting up. They’re relieve their Daddy’s all right,” Cheetara explained.
Lion-O took her hand, leading her out the room. “Come on. Let me give you a good rubdown. That‘ll calm our babies.”
“Aren’t you tired?” Cheetara asked. “The battle with the Mutants…”
Lion-O grinned at her. “I’ve caught my second wind.”
****
Cheetara lied on the bed with her maternity shirt pulled up halfway up her back. After rubbing lotion on his hands,
Lion-O massage it into her back. Cheetara shivered slightly at the cool cream on her back but with Lion-O’s hand
and the lotion, her back was quickly warming up. Cheetara giggled as Lion-O kissed the nape of her neck. He loved
doing this as much as she love him doing this to her.
“Have you thought of any names?” Lion-O asked.
“Mmm. Nothing that stick.”
“Me, too. We haven’t discussed in detail about your work as a ThunderCat after the babies are born. What do you
want to do?”
No, they didn’t. Cheetara feared Lion-O would take that title from her since she was having his babies, but with
Lion-O asking her what she wanted to do made her see differently. “I’m not resigning from being a ThunderCat if
that’s what you’re thinking. Being a wife and mother gives me more initiative to be a better ThunderCat. It’ll
make me fight harder for Thundera’s safety. Even though I’ve been on monitor duty and lair work since I was four
months, I’ll take more time off once the babies are born. Once the children are on a normal routine, I’ll work
in the lair and take field assignments after the babies are weaned.”
Lion-O rubbed more lotion on his hand before rubbing into Cheetara‘s lower back. “You thought this all out. So
be it.”
“What do you think I should do?”
“Only what you want to do.”
Cheetara smiled again, touched Lion-O would let her do things her way. It showed how much he trusted her. Deep
down, she hoped Lion-O would always feel that way towards her. “Lion-O, do you think the babies are aware of what’s
going on inside their womb? Do you think the twins know one another exists?”
“I’m sure they do,” Lion-O said confidently. “With your sixth sense, they probably know each other and can recognize
their Mommy and Daddy.” He rubbed the stomach. “It’s Daddy.” There was a soft kick under his hand. “See? They know
their Daddy.”
Cheetara laughed as and placed her hand over his. “Yes. I can feel it.”
“I can’t wait to see them. I can’t wait to hold them, hug them, show them off--”
“Change their diapers, get up in the middle of night to take care of their needs, bathe them, dress them in clothes,
fight with Snarf for taking care of them--”
Lion-O laughed. “Teach them how to hold the Sword of Omens, drive the Thundertank. All that and more. It‘s gonna
be fun.”
With Lion-O by her side, Cheetara knew it would be. “Yes, it will.”
****
Cheetara watched Lion-O drive off in the Hover Car. He just left but she was missing him already. He was going
on a two day trip to Kilgore. There was an uprising between the Tigers and Panthers over the land again. The Tigers
who owned the land on Old Thundera were unwilling to accept Panthers moving into community. Lion-O was going to
settle the dispute, promising Cheetara it was his last trip before the babies were born.
Cheetara entered the lair relieved at the air conditioning hitting her. Summertime wasn’t a good time to be pregnant,
especially with this heat wave. Her bedroom was an icebox, just the way she wanted it, but she knew it was a bother
to Lion-O who slept with the covers on while she didn’t. He never said anything or complain. In a way, it was good
for him since he slept close to her each night soaking up her body heat.
Cheetara entered the Control Room and plopped down in her seat. She was exhausted, her ankles were swollen, her
lower back ache, but she had to keep working. Cheetara was determine to show she can work until the birth of the
babies.
Luckily, there was nothing on the scanners and she could spend the day watching the scenery or maybe play solitaire.
WilyKit was coming in an hour to take over. When she did, Cheetara was going to soak herself in a nice bath.
The doors behind her opened and Cheetara groaned. She sensed Tygra’s presence in the room. “Cheetara, just the
person I want to see.”
Cheetara turned around in her chair, her annoyance showing. “And why is that, Tygra?”
Tygra beamed and pulled out blueprints he had under his right arm. “I want to discuss with you to look at these
plans I have for another aircraft. You can never have too many.”
Tygra opened the plans for Cheetara to see. It was large fighter plane that was too big for evasive action in battle
and the size of the engines looked like it was going to require too much Thundrillium, but Cheetara was too tired
to argue or point out faults. “It’s fine, Tygra.”
“Fine?” Tygra looked insulted. “It’s brilliant, but Lion-O said no to it. He said it was too big for battle and
would require too much Thundrillium.”
“Well, you got your answer then.” Cheetara turned around in her seat.
Tygra stepped closer, placing his hand on the back of her chair as he hovered over her. “But you can talk to him,
persuade him to change his mind.”
Cheetara looked up at Tygra, annoyed at how close he was to her. “Tygra, I’m not going to do that. If Lion-O says
no, then that’s it. He obviously doesn’t see a need for it and he makes some good points.”
Tygra leaned forward trying to appear smooth. “You’re his wife. Surely, you can persuaded him. You said yourself
it was fine.”
Cheetara glared at him. “Tygra, just because Lion-O’s my husband, doesn’t mean I’m going to persuade him to do
favors for you.”
Tygra’s face darkened as he pulled back. “No? But you’ll persuade him to do favors for you.”
Cheetara looked at him puzzled though her hair began to stand on ends. She didn’t like the way Tygra was looking
at her. “What are you talking about?”
Tygra smirked. “Just what would Lion-O think when I tell him you set up the events on Mount Kenney.”
Cheetara froze, her mouth becoming dry. “What are you talking about?”
She sounded nervous. Good. He had worked this out carefully over the weeks plotting how to let Cheetara knew he
was on to her. He never thought it would feel this good. “You know, Cheetara, that incident on Mount Kenny always
bugged me. Now I know. You set it up that you and Lion-O become trap in the cave.”
Cheetara took in a calming breath trying to remain as cool as possible. “And why would I do something like that?
We could’ve died.”
“Exactly, but that didn’t stop you from trapping you and Lion-O in that cave.”
Recovering slowly from the shock of Tygra knowing her secret, she said strongly, “For such a strong accusation,
you better have proof.”
Trying to be all brave. That act wasn‘t fooling Tygra. Cheetara was scared and he knew it. “Plenty. You told Panthro
and Bengali who were at the Tower of Omens where you were going but you didn’t tell Lynx-O, Pumyra or the twins
who were in the lair. Why? Because you didn’t want them to know where you were going. You didn’t want to risk any
of them going with you and with Panthro being far away it was easy to say no to his offering of going with you.”
“That doesn’t mean---”
“I saw the cameras in the hangar. Lion-O arrived just as you were leaving and he came with you. It wasn’t a coincident.
You wanted him to go with you.”
“I had no choice,” Cheetara said defensively, “I couldn’t disobey my Lord’s orders.”
Tygra smirked. Oooo, getting angry? “Like you ever did,” Tygra retorted. “Cheetara, I know the truth. Fess up or
should I embarrass you even more? Fine. Did I forget to mention there’s no recording of your conversation with
the hikers? I hacked into the computers. Nothing was deleted or recorded that day that pertain to the so-call hikers.”
“I didn’t record it because the blizzard outside kept knocking the power out. I was trying to conserve the energy.”
Tygra scoffed. “Yeah, sure, Cheetara. Your lies are falling apart all around you. When you were on Mount Kenney,
Lion-O went in first. His fall seem plausible. Then you came in and of course the signals were dead deep in the
caverns, which is also plausible. The thing is why you two couldn‘t get out? Why did snow kept falling in each
time you tried? It was more than snow. It was someone using her powers, blocking you and Lion-O from leaving.”
He stared at Cheetara. “Yes. You.”
Cheetara laughed. “You’re something, Tygra. Making up a ridiculous story like that. Why would I used my powers
to prevent Lion-O from leaving?”
Tygra leaned on the panel. “Two reasons--a boy and girl.”
Cheetara paled. Oh, Thundera. He knew! But how? Tygra smirked seeing the shock on Cheetara’s face. She couldn’t
say anything now. “You wanted Lion-O to father your children. Why, I don’t know. I’ll be honest about that, unless
you had feelings for him and was jealous he dated so many women. What better way to get his undivided attention
than to have him father your children? We all know how honorable Lion-O is. No way would he let you raise his children
alone.”
Cheetara said nothing as she looked away. Tygra was right. He found out her secret. Now what she thought. Should
she keep denying it and dig a whole deeper and deeper or admit the truth. Cheetara knew what she had to do. “It
isn’t like that,” Cheetara whispered. “I wasn’t jealous of the women Lion-O dated. I wanted him to father my children.
He seem to be the right candidate.”
“Right how?” Tygra asked.
Was that jealousy in Tygra’s tone? Cheetara was sure. “He would father my children and leave me to raise it on
my own.”
“Obviously, it didn’t work that way,” Tygra complained. “You two got married.”
“It was his idea and he was right. Marriage was right for us.” She looked at Tygra, honesty in them. “You see we
fell in love.”
“So, what you really wanted from Lion-O was his sperm,” Tygra said and whistled. “Wow, Cheetara. I never thought
you would be so manipulative.”
“What did it, Tygra? What was it that lead to my secret coming out?” Cheetara asked. She had to know how she slipped.
He chuckled. “You’re not going to believe it but it was you just now.” Cheetara didn’t understand. “You see, what
I did was now was proclaim a hunch I had. You confessed herself.”
Cheetara was glad she was sitting down otherwise her legs would give way at the shock of the news. Her breath came
in heavy rasps as heat spread in her body. This was too much, too much for her to take now.
“What are you going to do?” She asked Tygra, fear on her face. “You‘re not going to tell Lion-O are you.”
Tygra leaned on the panel, grinning wickedly. “No. Not if you do want I want.”
Cheetara felt her heart racing as beads of sweat perspired on her face. “What do you want me to do?”
“Me?”
“Me?” Cheetara repeated puzzled. “What do you mean?”
Tygra leaned closer to Cheetara where he could almost kiss her. “Give me a night with the Lady of Thundera and
I’ll forget what you did.”
“What?” Cheetara gasped. He couldn’t meant that.
But he did. Oh, did his eyes say it. “I want you, Cheetara. I’ve wanted you for so long and then you and Lion-O
got together ruining my chances until now.” He touched her hair, running his fingers through the soft strands.
“All I want is one night with the Lady of the ThunderCats. You know we tigers are very fertile creatures. We’re
also quiet imaginative. Think of the fun we’ll have.”
Cheetara slapped him. “You monster!”
Despite the slap, Tygra smiled. “I prefer you call me something better than that. Actually, Cheetara, I don’t see
the problem. You deceived and manipulated Lion-O into getting what you want. I’m doing the same and at least I’m
being honest with what I want.”
“You’re blackmailing me!”
“Yes, I am,” He said it so smoothly, “but at least you know what to expect. Lion-O probably expected one night
in the cave. He never thought he got you pregnant. It’s a good thing he’s taking responsibility for his children.
Honestly, I‘m hurt Cheetara. Why didn’t you come to me? I would’ve gladly volunteered for the job. You wouldn’t
have to trick me as you did Lion-O.”
Cheetara smirked wickedly, wanting to hurt Tygra‘s ego. “I didn’t want you. I wanted a good, strong handsome big
man who knew how to pleasure a lady. I didn’t want an evil man to father my child.”
“So, if the child inherits any evilness, it’ll be from their mother.” Cheetara slapped him again and again it didn‘t
bother Tygra. “What’s the harm, Cheetara? One night with me or lose Lion-O and your babies because after Lion-O
finds out the truth, he wouldn’t want anything to do with you and want you away from his children.” He touched
her stomach.
Cheetara pushed his hands away, snarling. “Get your hands off me!” She rose from her seat, wanting to get as far
away from Tygra as possible.
Tygra grabbed her suddenly. “Think about what I said, Cheetara. If you don’t want Lion-O to find out what you did,
you will sleep with me.” He smiled wickedly. “Don’t worry. I’ll give you until after you can perform again to decide.
I want you to enjoy it, too.”
Cheetara shrugged out of his arms. She felt her world crashing around her. Tygra knew. He was going to blackmail
her and ruin her life with Lion-O if she didn’t sleep with him. She couldn’t tell Lion-O because he would be upset
and leave her, taking the children with him.
As she reached the doors, Cheetara felt a stabbing pain in her abdomen. She touched her stomach. No! Not now! “Oh!
Ow!” Cheetara cried out. Her legs gave way and she slid to the floor.
Tygra immediately came to her side. “Cheetara, are you all right?”
Cheetara gasped. “The babies! Contractions! OW! I think I’m in labor!”
Tygra looped an arm in hers and what strength Cheetara had she pushed him away. “Get your filthy hands off me!”
“You need my help!” Tygra reached for her again and Cheetara pushed him away.
“I need you to get away from me!” Cheetara snarled. “Back off!” Tygra put his arms around her and Cheetara summoned
her telekinetic power and pushed Tygra away, knocking him into a wall.
Cheetara touched the walls, using what strength she had to pull herself up but using her telekinetic powers weakened
more than she imagined. Her vision started to blur and pain in her stomach felt like it was ripping her apart.
The door manage to slid open allowing to stumble out of the room before the last of her strength left her and she
collapsed on the floor unconscious.
