Wilson in Rotary
Young, exercising and also integral of the Team of Work of the
Folha de Tamandaré, Dr. Wilson de Paula Cavalheiro, with justice, President
of Rotary Club was chosen. We wanted a lot of success.
Almirante Tamandaré's Rotary Club, entity founded in this city in the month
of May of 1978, in the 02 of July next past the new Management was vested, that
will develop the activities Rotaries during the period of July of 1985 to June
of 1986, being the following:

Almirante Tamandaré's Rotary Club, besides the members of the Management, is
composed of the following partners: Ari Antonio Buzato, Dirceu de Brito, Edson
Antonio Cândido de Siqueira, Arcidino Félix Gulin, Eurípedes de Siqueira and
José Malikoski.
The main activity developed by Almirante Tamandaré's Rotary Club, is in function
of the construction of the House of the Friendship, whose beginning happened
in the President's administration, Jorge Eloi Lovato, and it is fundamentally
the main goal of this management the conclusion of this work.
Folha de Tamandaré is placed available to the President, Dr. Wilson, its companions
and the activities of Rotary, in a general way.
Harley the writer
Just homage that the Folha takes to one of the most illustrious
writers than Paraná possesses and that is son of Almirante Tamandaré, first
and only writer of our earth. In the last twenty-five it was the Writer's Day,
of there the message, equally of the first and only journalist genuinely tamandaréense,
to Dr. Harley Clóvis Stocchero, that has been dignifying Almirante Tamandaré
in the letters paranaenses.
In the year of 1984, it represented in the “Anthology of the Minstrels of Paraná”,
a selection of minstrels, and is also preparing the book “Historical Rootses
of Almirante Tamandaré”, a research work that is in final phase of elaboration.

Tamandareland (Alley of the gossips
and of the... truths).
INDIAN? – A well-known alderman of the neighboring municipal
district of Alm. Tamandaré in chat with a citizen of Tamandareland, asked some
explanations on Almirante Tamandaré's city. With the obtained answers, he said:

RETROSPECTIVE 1985
The Folha de Tamandaré, from its first edition, tried to inform
without lies its worthy readers. The truth without retouching is the basic philosophy
of this newspaper. In this retrospective one, you reader will remind some cases
marked happened in Almirante Tamandaré.
PRESS: Foundation of the newspaper Folha de Tamandaré, on March 31, in the municipal
district of Almirante Tamandaré. Its founder, journalist Leônidas R. Dias. The
newspaper tamandaréense seeks to highlight the events happened in Tamandaré
and metropolitan area of Curitiba. The Folha de Tamandaré went a mark in to
history of Tamandaré.
POLITICS: President Tancredo Neves gets sick exactly in the day of its ownership,
March 15. It assumes temporary, the vice-president José Sarney. Dies president
Tancredo Neves. The country cries its death. The vice-president José Sarney
assumes the Presidency definitively. Mayor of Almirante Tamandaré, Ariel. Busatto
inaugurates the School Morro Azul, with resources of MEC and also of the Municipal
City hall. Approved the illiterate's vote. In the municipal districts of Rio
Branco do Sul, Almirante Tamandaré, Colombo, Bocaiúva do Sul, Morro Azul and

Antonio Tosin
True pioneer of the “life industrial tamandaréense” if especially

Antonio Tosin liked politics, not very active. It was peace judge for three
opportunities and he enjoyed narrow friendship with Interventor Manoel Ribas.
In its life professional, victorious mark, so much for the family Tosin, so
much as for Alm. Tamandaré and Paraná. It built the first mill of whitewash
of Brazil, act that it should be registered in the competent and official organs,
besides one of the first cabinet making of the city and it went to “it dams
Tosin” also the first in industry terms.
Thus, with pride, Folha de Tamandaré, in its column Longing, tells a little
of how much this citizen did for our city and left a family that the fight continues,
under its son's leadership, João Roque. Just still the prominence that giving

Agileu and the Cruzado
In February 27 in dropping of the afternoon, the Brazilian Nation
was apprehensive, with you inform them of a possible economic change in Brazil,

Today only we have to congratulate the Mr. President of the Republic, for its
courage in promoting changes in this Country, because to continue as it was
we would not have more breath for survival of the Brazilian people.
This new economic measure went a synthesis than to Argentina it only adopted
with accentuated measures and I believe more detailed with deeper studies, consequently
very more improved to our system. With that we only have to wait, and to ask
to all the Brazilians that continue believing in the men that it had promoted
these changes, because the load was very weighed.
We everybody should walk together, controlling, fiscalizing, giving our contribution
to the dipped men of good beginnings, and it is not with destructive critic
that we will begin a new phase, but yes helping as men, as Brazilian citizens,
as family father and above all as human person, that, Brazil that will give
are going there right.

Birthday of Alm. Tamandaré
In the last October 11, the municipal district of Almirante
Tamandaré, completed 39 years of political emancipation. Considered one of the
oldest cities of Paraná, if not knowing the names of its founders and nor of
its first inhabitants. It is believed, that was founded by some led astray components
of the first exploiting flags of gold or dominaters of Indians. The municipal
district Tamandaréense had several names, being first Pacotuba. It went by several
phases, belonging the other neighboring municipal districts. Now, it is an autonomous
municipal district, possessing the three powers: executive, legislative and
judiciary.
Weak commemoration
The allusive commemorations to the 39 years of political emancipation
of the municipal district of Almirante Tamandaré, were not marked as those accomplished
last year, where the whole society tamandaréense participated in the event,
besides with a lot of organization and good taste, mainly for the children that
went owners of to party, proving that a lot of times, they are more intelligent
than the big people. The promoted festivities this year to commemorate Almirante
Tamandaré's Birthday, they were very weak– just stood out: “Inauguration of
the Fair of the Science”; “Second Rustic Race”; “Exhibition of Agriculture and
Dehydrated Carrot”; “Exhibition of Health” and “Recreational Activities, such
as: volleyball, soccer, painting and giant games”, and masses.

Editorial
Three hundred and sixty five days already passed. Unhappily,
for a lot of people, they didn't leave longing, for they have been marked with
sad and barbaric events, you never turned off of the human mind. In spite of
having been considered by the Organization of the United Nations (UN), as Peace's
International Year, where everybody should go back to one for an only objective,
that is to say, to raise the white pigeon in yours will have, its houses and
its lives, this not happening during the twelve months of 1986. Through the
means of social communication we verified terrorism, war, kidnapping, hunger,
despair, death, assaults, abandonment, poverty, absence of the “charmed” human
rights. Finally, we saw all the types of possible and imaginary social injustice
reigning in 1986, as it happened there is two thousand years, when Christ had
the initiative dies in the cross to free and to promote the peace among the
men, unhappily forgotten in the year that passed.
Even so, to the we begin a new year, let us hope the same is promoter of the
such dreamed peace among the people, where we cannot as Christian, to take a
sacred life, full of hopes and good will, always gone back to a world better,
more friend and fraternal, doing of every day, a peace mission and love. With
this spirit of hope and optimism, we believed that 1987 are a different year
and until historical for us Brazilian, where the promulgation of the New Constitution
can bring true renewals and hopes in the socioeconomic field, promoting the
Brazilian population, consequently enlarging the country. Therefore, on this
year that begins, let us ask to God that illuminates the minds of our Representatives,
responsible for the elaboration of New Carta Magna, giving them good sense and
courage in the suffered Brazilian community's um favor, so thirsty of more concrete
and just laws for the Nation, which go well elaborated, seeking the social justice,
certainly they will decrease many chronic problems (hunger, slums, earth lack,
unemployment, abandoned childhood, etc), inserted in the social context, generating
daily, thousands of disgust to the Brazilian society.
The blind man day
The Institute Paranaense of Blind men assists 160 of them, came
of the Interior and Metropolitan Area of Curitiba daily, brought by the family
or for the police, when they find them lost in the streets. The blind men do
of its Institute dwelling and local of work. According to the Institute of Blind
– unlike the one that the people think, the blind men work and they live an
almost normal life. They make bags and straw broom , selling them later on.
Besides the makings, they sell brooms and wakes. Of the made sales, twenty percent
