Tara
and Dawn wake up exactly where we left them,
on the couch, only it's morning now, 7am-ish.
Two questions come up: first why didn't anyone
wake them up? Where is everyone? Okay we know
why Buffy didn't come home, you know, busy with
Spike, all night. Tara starts making Dawn some
pancakes, when in comes Willow and Amy. Amy
talks about last night's 'magic tricks', which
doesn't make Tara too happy. Spike nudity in
this episode a couple of times, and I do mean
nudity, no clothes, none at all. Buffy leaves
him at the house, or what's left of it and heads
back to her house, as Tara leaves. Where she
explains where she's been all night. You know,
fighting a tough demon. Amy goes home, Buffy
goes to bed as does Willow, Dawn goes off to
find some awake people. Will tries to use her
magic to close the curtains, but she's tapped
out. Used to much last night I guess.
Buffy, Xander, and Anya continue the search
for the 'Freeze Demon' that likes diamonds.
Getting bored with looking through books and
after seeing Anya reading Bridal mags, instead
of the books, Xander suggests they try something
new, hit the streets, get Spike on it. Buffy
jumps on that and say no way, stay read. They
have the Willow too much Magic talk again.
Willow and Amy go out again. Amy takes Willow
to a 'magic dealer' kinda like a drug dealer,
but the magic kind. He has an invisible house
that moves around a lot. The 'warlock's' name
is Rack. He's kinda disturbing, and says Willow
tastes like strawberries. He gets them high
on this Warlock drug, Amy's spinning endlessly
and Willow's on the ceiling viewing trees then
this beast appears, scares her, then poof! she's
on the floor at Buffy's. Willow then takes a
shower and cries. After the shower she pulls
out some of Tara's clothes lays them on the
bed, uses some magic to make 'body' in them
and lays in it's lap.
Willow decides to take Dawn out for a movie
and dinner. Buffy gets home and hears a noise
upstairs. She finds Amy up there stealing stuff,
and then pumps her for info. She finds out about
Rack and that Willow's taken Dawn with her.
After dinner, Dawn and Willow are walking and
Will asks about Tara. Dawn says Tara's sad.
Only, Willow needs a fix and takes Dawn to Rack's,
before the movie. Willow says she'll only be
a minute, it was almost 9pm, when she went in,
now it's 10:05 pm. Willow sees that beast again
in her drug fix dream.
Buffy goes to Spike's. For him to help her find
Rack's place. Dawn is still waiting at 10:55pm,
when Will comes out. Dawn notices something's
wrong with Willow, her eyes are kinda black.
Dawn wants to go home, but Willow wants to do
something. Spike and Buffy are searching for
the Rack's still, and Spike says he loves her
again, they fight. Dawn and Willow are attacked
by the beast from Willow's dreams. It cuts Dawn
with it's claw, they run, Willow magically opens
a cars doors, then closes them, and then starts
the car and drives it with magic. But she's
not paying attention and she crashes it. Dawn's
now got a cut on her forehead and her arm is
hurt. She gets out of the car and heads over
to Willow's side, but the beast attacks her
again. She tries to escape under the car but
it grabs her.
Spike and Buffy are really close when they hear
her scream. Dawn throws dirt into the beasts
eyes, but it grabs her and throws her a fix
feet. She's crawling away as Buffy comes to
the rescue. Spike comes to Dawn's aid. Buffy's
having problems killing it, then Willow kills
it with her Magic. Buffy then runs to Dawn's
side. Willow comes over saying how sorry she
is. Dawn slaps her. Then Spike helps her around
Willow, who starts sobbing that she's sorry
and falls to the ground. They stop, Spike looks
at Willow, then he and Dawn head to the hospital
as Buffy remains to yell at her. Willow's addicted
to Magic, and now she admits it, and says she
needs help.
Back at Buffy's, Willow asks Buffy's if Dawn's
gonna be okay. Buffy says it's a fracture, and
that the ER Doc give her some pain meds and
knocked her out. Willow thinks she needs magic
to be special. Without it she was just some
girl, but Buffy says Tara loves her, for her,
not the magic. Promises, promises, promises...
No more magic. One problem, it's an addiction,
so a guess only time will tell if she keeps
it or not. Willow goes through some withdrawal
symptoms, and Buffy's got lots, and I mean lots
of garlic hanging in her room.
