                        Intro to Wicca


Wicca is a religion with its roots in the acceptance 
of Magick and mysterious nature.  Unlike most religions,
it doesnt claim to be the one true way to a Diety.  
Wicca is a personal, positive celebration of life.

    Today Wicca uses chanting, meditation, concentration,
 visualization, music, dance, invocation and ritual.  
With these "tools" Wiccans achieve a state of ritual 
conciousness with out the old more "shamanic" ways of fasting,
pain and hallucinogens.
    Wicca teaches that nature includes a broad spectrum of 
mental and spiritual states-of which most are ignorant.  
Wiccan ritual allows us to go to these states for communication
with the God and Goddess.   This is different to some religions,
who view the Diety as distant.  The gods and goddess are both 
within ourselves and manifest in all nature.
    Wicca ia a religion with many variations.  It is very 
personally structured.Wicca shares with other religions is the 
recognotion of a dual Diety.  It reveres both the Goddess and 
the God.  Equal , warm and loving, omnipresent throughtout the 
Universe, not distant.
    The Religion of Wicca also teaches that the physical world 
is but one of many realities.  As with many Eastern religions, 
Wicca embraces the doctrine of re-incarnation.  The Wiccan ideal
 of morality is simple: An it harm none..do what you will...this
 includes yourself.
   Wicca is a religion that embraces magick.  Magick is natural.
   Its harmonious movement of energies to create needed change.

    Once one takes full responsibility for all that one has or 
hasnt done in this lifetime or others, & determines that future
 actions will be in accord with higher ideals & goals, magick
 will blossom and life will become a joy.
   Maybe that is the center of Wicca--a joyous union with nature,
 being at one with all.  The dreamy temples of flowered meadows,
 forests, seas, beaches and deserts.  Sanctity.
     All nature sings to us, revealing secrets...listen to the 
Earth...the lessons...they are open.

Wiccans have nothing at all
to do with Satan, a christian concept of evil.
 


These are sample Laws...not everyones set of laws are the same,
but this is a good guideline as to how to conduct yourself
 until you write your own.
Laws written on Feb.10th,2001 for the Circle called:
"Elemental Whispers"

1.  Our Circle offers a joyous celebration each Sabbat and Full
 Moon.  Attendance is encouraged to at least 11 of the 21 
celebrations a year.
2.  Do as ye will yet Ever mind the rule of 3. Harm ye not 
by might or magick.(.....to restrain when words are not 
enough......not to hurt when restraint is enough....not 
to maim when hurt is enough...not to kill when maiming 
is enough...)this goes for all levels of physical,mental 
& spiritual.
3.  Love is the law and the law is the light...the light 
shines differently within us all...revel in the brilliance 
of all the colors!
4.  Treat your fellow circlemates with the utmost respect 
for we are all equal...none above or below the others.  
Personal conflicts will not be tolerated within the circle! 
 Any conflicts which arise within the circle will be addressed 
within the circle.  Conflicts that have nothing to do with 
the circle WILL be left outside of it!
5.  Our Gatherings are open to all who seek the light, no 
matter which path you seek it on.
6.  Concerning Magick..Sabbats are for celebratory purposes
 only...and workings will be done on Esbats and by Unanimous
 vote only!
7.  Treat with reverence the place you worship where ever it
 may be. The circle in its entirety is responsible to leave 
the area of worship in better condition than it was found.
8.  The Hierarchy of this Circle is the Lord and Lady(the 
deities that is), any decisions concerning use of this circle 
for any purpose will be voted on as we are all equal.
9.  Anyone voted into a position of office in the circle will 
serve that position for the allotted amount of time or voted 
out by the circle.  Majority rules for offices yet it must be
 unanimous for spellworking.
10.  Teach only what you know,learn all you can,believe only 
what your heart knows to be your truth.  We are all masters, 
we are all novices,  we are all human.
11.  If our laws aren't adhered to,we have the right to vote 
out anyone we feel is detrimental to our circle.  If our laws
 and ways dont appeal to you, then another circle you should 
seek.
12.  In honor of those who've passed before:: In the case of 
EXTREME torture and duress, no grudges can be held against you 
for telling circle tales.
13.  When conducting yourself in or for this circle you will 
obey the laws of the land and of this circle...what you do 
away from this circle is your own Karma to deal with.
