The reasons why we must keep Democrats out of office are shown in no particular order. They reflect the flawed ideology of the Democrats, not just their behavior. That is why it is not good enough to "vote for the person, not the party". When you vote for the person, you help support their party! And they do work together...
They are the party of emotions, while the Republicans are the party of ideas. The Democrats rely on keeping people scared or angry. The 2000 election is an excellent case in point. Even though a reasonable person can see that there are good points to be made on both sides of the argument, the Democrats see absolutely no other reason than racism and vote theft. Never mind that every spoiled ballot was spoiled by the voters themselves, the Democrats NEVER consider that their people are anything more than victims.
In debates about Social Security, do Democratic leaders publicly consider that privatization is a possible solution to the certain, and predictable, demise of our current system? Of course not, even though none of the Democrats in Congress pay into the system themselves! Federal employees have a separate retirement system! They do not pay into that losing proposition that they want to keep all of us locked into! They depend on keeping people afraid of private investment, even though they all have stock portfolios of their own!
Take a look at the Democrats' biggest constituency, and you will see people who are mad as hell at the rich, whites, men, Christians, business, and anyone they can find to blame for poverty, violence, AIDS, pollution, and global warming. Keeping people mad and fearful is how they get things done. This is a good enough reason in itself to throw those rascals out!
They don't know where money comes from. The Democrats simply want to redistribute all of our income. If you wonder if this is true, ask yourself this: can you ever remember the Democrats cutting a program? NO!!! All they want is more and more and more tax dollars to pay for more and more programs that hire more and more people into government jobs. These people vote overwhelmingly Democratic, and is it any wonder? They believe there is an inexhaustible supply of money that they just need to shame out of people who own businesses. It never dawns on them that business pays for everything! Without business, there would be none of their precious pencils to push nor papers to shuffle. Yet, they continue to punish business with higher taxes and stiffer regulations, as if they were an evil force to contain.
They don't know the meaning of "opportunity". An opportunity is a possibility of good fortune, not a certainty. Yet, the Democrats continually parade people who are poor, behind bars, drug addicted, uneducated, afflicted with AIDS and homeless as evidence that there is no opportunity left in America. You won't hear Democrats wail about how stupid it is to engage in promiscuous sex, let TV raise your kids, waste your time blaming others when you have something you could do for yourself and your family. Oh, no! That can't be it! That might offend their constituents, who serve them well as malcontents.
Reason #4
This next one comes in the light of the recent terrorist hijackings and destruction of the World Trade Center buildings. Democrats, and their willing accomplices in the media, have been using these tragedies to political advantage while President Bush has been trying to put together a plan of reprisals against the forces that were behind them. We are just now beginning to pull bodies out of the WTC rubble, and Democratic Congressmen from Massachusetts are trying to portray Bush as a coward for not flying right back to Washington mere hours after the Pentagon was attacked, and there was still no telling if the attacks were over. For this alone, they must be defeated.
Reason # 5
They don't know what justice is. Anyone with common sense knows that justice is giving people what they deserve. Democrats believe that it is giving everyone an equal share, regardless of whether it is something good or bad. It's Democrats that want to decriminalize crimes, shorten prison time, make it harder to convict; and it's Democrats that want to reward laziness, ignorance, drug use, promiscuity, protests, and criminality with the fruit of YOUR labors.
Reason #6
They gave us "political correctness". It's the various special interest groups claiming to be victims and their Democratic overlords who give us the stilted language of non-offense. It's all a ploy to get us to admit that all their constituents really are victims that need to be compensated.
They hide behind children. Just like third-world warlords, who hide their military in the midst of school children and hospitals, Democrats shovel money out the window and then claim that mean Republicans are "hurting the children" when it's necessary to cut the waste. Whether it's fancy office furniture, high-priced administrative patronage jobs, or settling the lawsuits born of their own stupidity, the Democrat-controlled school boards make sure a public school education costs twice as much as a private school. It is a mystery that teachers are paid so little when there is so much money available. They say the answer is more tax dollars!
Go to private schools in your neighborhood and talk to the teachers there. Why have most of them taken a cut in pay to work in private schools? Is it because there were not enough jobs in the public sector? That's not what we hear! We are always hearing about the shortage of teachers, yet there are teachers who would rather take a pay cut than teach in our public schools. This is the dirty secret of the public schools. Both teachers who want to teach and children who want to learn get out of these government boondoggles if they can. The teachers take a cut in pay, and the parents of these children pay both high property taxes AND tuition rather than endure the biggest failure money can buy.
And what do the Democrats think their schools need? More and more and more money. All the waste that must be in their system, and they force teachers to feel the pinch by depriving them of classroom materials. When teachers pay for this out of their own pockets, and they often do, it causes them to think it's the stingy taxpayer and the mean Republican politicians who are holding out on them. And if you don't want to give it to them, they say you are depriving the children.
Let the people take vouchers for LESS than what the government is paying for your child's education. Let them spend it on ANY school they want. Their kids will get a better education and the parent will likely have money left over. The private schools will have more money to hire good more teachers, who will be happier with the work conditions. Why? Because private schools don't let lazy parents use their schools as day care or reformatories for the kids they won't discipline. Teachers are free to teach instead of referee.
When this situation is a reality, the problems of public education can the be isolated and dealt with instead of obfuscated and papered over with your tax dollars. And this will never happen until we defeat the Democrats!
They promote racial strife. I know this is a touchy subject, but it must be faced head-on if it's ever going to be changed. Back in the 50s and 60s, it was right to take on the codified evils of inequality under the law. It was a good thing that America had to face up to the fact that opportunities were not even close to being the same for blacks and whites. We are a better country today for it.
Today, it is glaringly obvious that outcomes are still much different for blacks and whites. After so many changes have been made, how could this be? Why are almost 70% of black children born to single mothers? Why do 29% of black males do jail time? Why are the reading and math scores of black children in integrated schools still below those of white, Asian, and Hispanic children? The Democrats say it is because of racism, particularly among white Republicans. They say that enough has not been done after all the civil rights legislation, hiring quotas, job skill programs, school integration, and affirmative action. Much, much more money is needed, they say. By saying this, they keep the black community from having to deal with internal problems. Indeed, they condemn them to more generations of poverty and discontent by pointing to the Republican straw man.
It is difficult to treat this subject with the gravity it deserves within the confines of this brief portion of an article. But it is one of the most important things to expose about the Democratic leadership. Rather than helping black Americans get back on track with the American experience that was common to all other out-groups, they help them reinforce a permanent victim-hood that leaves them waiting for some future payoff. Yes, it is true that every other group of immigrants to this country has been denied jobs, housing, and the basic dignity of being called equals. Blacks were slaves here in America, but many of those who came here from Europe were either enslaved, abused, imprisoned, raped, starved, or considered less than human before they got here. What has been different for the Irish, for example, is that they were never told that they government would grant them any special favors in exchange for their mistreatment. There were no quotas, affirmative action, free school lunches, or excuses made when they got in trouble. If those things had been done, the Irish would be a permanent underclass today.
How I long for the day that I can have an honest disagreement with someone like Jesse Jackson, and that it will have nothing to do with his skin color.
