SEND IN YOUR CONCERT EXPERIENCE!

[Thanks to Kassia!]
I got to go see Relient K at Lifest in Oshkosh, WI on July 14, 2002. For any other rK fans who live in good old Wisconsin, you know this is the ONLY show they have been here for all year! So, this was a BIG deal! I won tickets to go form the local radio station in Milwaukee and was all psyched and ready to go. We also saw Delirious and Audio Adrenaline, and some other cool bands, but Relient K was by far the best. They were stuck on a wimpy little stage, and I'm sure they're used to playing much larger stages at other Christian festivals. You must know, Christian rock music has not caught on as much here as it has other places. But the rK guys managed to put on an AWESOME show. Kids were lined up all along the sides of the gate and we had to make a mad dash to get a good spot. I was up in the mosh pit, which was fun but distracting - what's the point of going to a concert if you push people around instead of listening to the music? Anyway, that's just my opinion. But rK played a lot of old songs and some new, unnamed ones from the upcoming album. Dermike was crowd surfing (AMAZING!) and they tossed out free merch and stuff into the crowd. Apparantly, M@ T. wasn't having a very good day, and he tossed his guitar around a lot, but I thought they sounded awesome. They really put on a great live show, no matter what they think or say! Afterwards, they had an autograph table, and there was a HUGE line for it, so I got to meet all four of them, which was quick and kind of impersonal but still really cool. Brian had this fly that kept bugging him, and he was like, "Oh... he must think I'm cute." and all I could think to say was "Oh... yeah!" So that was slightly embarassing. M@ was nice to everyone,(though in the tour journal he said he was having a bad day) and I had made a shirt for my younger brother on the computer that they all thought was pretty awesome, so they were talking about it, which was cool. Dave was INCREDIBLY nice, I thought he never smiled because of his pictures, but he flashed me this huge smile and said "Hey, how are you?" and I was like "I love you!" (Not literally(!!), though, and not out loud... :]) Matt H. was so quiet, though, he just signed my shirt. I felt kind of bad for him. If he doesn't like that stuff, you know? It might be hard. But he still seems really nice. So, the concert was great, and I hope they come back A LOT MORE!

i saw relient k twice now.. once this year at the alive festival and once last year. i just gotta say they rock! no other band can compare to the energy these guys have. or the problems. this year matt t. had a guitar and an amp blow out on him and they had to cut short. i ended up buying a shirt and getting it signed. it took 2 hrs standing in line to get into the tent! everyone had combos and skittles to give the guys and matt (t) said "hey, this year i can play santa claus for christmas and not even need any padding" and after my hard work of moshing and standing, it all payed off. i got a signed t-shirt and hat and dave's last four chedder cheese combos! he was all like, "hey, im really full and i dont want these anymore... do you want them? they're not poisoned" and i was like "sweet!" i couldnt believe that they would be too full to eat their favorite food.. over all the concerts rocked and ill gladly go see them again.

My concert experience was the best by far.... I'm from Cleveland, OHIO... and they had come to play at Six Flags World of Adventures for this Christian Youth Group Day on May 18, 2002! I was really excited when my church youth group decided to go! The concert had such a positive vibe to it. It was great! i was really excited when i saw them walking out and i was like OMGOSH i love you guys can you sign my shirt... M@ and Brian singed my shirt, and i got pictuers with them... BUt the best was yet to come, me and my friends were walking alnog this bridge... the band was up in front of us, at least i thought they were, so it started to rain and i asked my friend if the marker i gave brian and M@ to use to sign my shirt was water proof... and befoe she could answer Brian was walking up behind me and looked at me and asked if i had just said THAT MY WATER BROKE!!! I turned bright red adn i swear my jaw hit the ground and didnt come back up!! i was so embarrassed!!! I was sturring just to get the words.. omgosh no out!! All the guys started laughing!!! So now my friends make fun of me and say i have an inside joke with Relient K!! Yep by far i think i had the best concert expierince with Relient K... i cant wait till they come in November!!! I am going to try so hard to get meet and greet passes!!! and if Relient K ever checks this website... I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!

i went to the Rk show on april 6th in Hamden CT. my sisters surprised me for my 16th birthday by taking me to a Relient K show in Connecticut. up first was a band called Strive and they were so awesome...my older sister had been talking to the band on a message board, and asked them to say happy birthday to me, and there was this one song that they hadnt named yet, so that day the called it " Happy Borthday Erin" hehehe yeah and then two more bands were on, the Relient K!!!!! they rocked the house! or maybe i should say field, since it was outside...oh well.....we got pictures taken with Brian and Matt H. after, and talked to them for a little bit. Matt H. said he and Theissen had a bet goin on who would say that they were cold first.( it was pretty windy and cold outside) and so Thiessen kept trying to get Matt H. to say it..it was wicked funny.they played like tree new songs, Facedown, College kids and Trademark, plus two covers, Girls just wanna have fun, and Get this party started...hehe the mosh pit was crazy but wicked awesome! this was the first time i saw them in concert, and i cant wait to go again! yeah!

Friday, April 5th was the greatest night of my life so far. Relient K was playing at the Leesport Farmer's Market, fifteen minutes away from my house. The show started at 7:00 P.M. and doors opened at 6:30. Me and friends got there at 5:30 and waited outside the doors, second in line! Since the wait was quite long, I had to go to the bathroom, so the ticket sellers let me use it. And who should I encounter in there? Non-other than Dave Douglas washing his hands. Then I heard a second voice and turned to see Matt Hoopes! The show hadn't even started yet and I'd already seen them. For the next hour I entertained my arriving friends with that little story and finally the doors opened. I bolted inside and got smack-dab against the stage. I'd learned my lesson at Fall-Out not to move, so I stood there the entire time. The first band up was Soul Desire and they were okay. Next came a band from New Hampshire called Strive and they rawked! Never have I seen a band so emotional with their wailing guitars. They were on the floor, leaping around, it was great. Finally, on came Relient K and I was at the feet of Matt Hoopes. Their show was absolutely awesome because they had a brand new, totally rocking set. They started off with Pressing On which was great live. The best song they performed the entire night was Failure to Excommunicate, my personal favorite. I'd never heard it live and it was just fantastic. They also performed 4 new songs: Falling Out, College Kids, Trademark, and For the Band, I think. Besides that they did two covers: Get this Party Started and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (Interesting, huh?). Sometime near the end of the show, Dave Douglas broke a drumstick and threw it on the stage. I yelled to Matt Hoopes if I could have it and he kicked it over and I got it autographed. Afterwards we headed to J.O.Y. Bookstore and I talked to Thiessen for like an hour...

hi, i just saw relient k at the weselyan christian youth conference in toronto december 29. i just totally thought they were totally rad, i was so excited to see them. they didnt have any merch because they would of been stuck paying like 30% sales tax or something crappy like that. i was also hoping there was some room so we could mosh but there wasnt. but relient k totally made up for that. they were amazing, the crowd really got into it and i really loved it. I would love to see them again!

I got to go see Relient K during the Electirc Youth Tour at Sunset Presbyterian Church in the Portland, OR area. It was one of the best concerts I've been to. I got to talk to Brian P. after the show and he was very nice and even said that he had heard of a music festival that goes on in my hometown and he said that he wanted to go play there, which would be really cool. Their show at the church was so much fun, and although the people there really knew alot more of the older songs than the newer ones it was cool to see them enjoy the stuff that they were hearing for the first time. I fell in love with Relient K the first time I listened to the song "Hello McFly" I bought the CD shortly after listening to the sample and wasn't disappointed, so when the new CD came out I had to buy it. I heard they were good live so when I heard of the E.Y. Tour I bought tickets, besides I also get to see FIF and Ace Troubleshooters. It was a lot of fun and I hope the whole world gets a taste of Relient K someday....

I went to see Relient K, along w/ a lot of other groups from the Electric Youth tour at Kings Island, October 13, 2001. They were great. The first song they sang was Charles in Charge - I missed the beginning though b/c I was looking for Audio Adrenaline shirts so.... maybe next time. I could hear it though - and it was awesome! Charles is phat! Anyways, one of my friends met them at the concert - she's seen them twice now. Relient K is so down to earth! You gotta love um. If you haven't seen them in concert - please do! You don't want to miss an opportunity. I also saw them at Life 2001 this summer. It was really cool b/c it was in a room and the stage was sooo close to us. It was craziness. Everyone was jumping and going crazy. And if you go to their concert make sure to take skittles and combos. They love em. Anyways, you gotta love Relient!

Wow ok i dont have as much to say as everyone else but just that Relient K is awsome in concert. And some people try to compare them to Blink 182 ... but im sorry, Relient K is way better sounding in concert !!! I loved their performance, and i got to talk with *Dave* and Matt Hoopes after the show, they are great guys!!!!! I cant wait to see them again. They are a really big inspiration to me and i hope they remember me and my friends when we see them at creation !!!!!! i love those guys !!

It was at Fallout on September 15, 2001. In the wake of the terrorist attacks everything was emotional. I had gone with my neighbor's youth group and was already thoroughly annoyed with them after an hour bus ride. Well we got there at 2:00 and rK didn't come until 6:00 (I think) and so we waited. We sat through our not-so-our-favorite-but-enjoyable Apoleget-X and then Ace Troubleshooter. (I didn'treally like them at the time, but now I do). Then the first real treat of the day came when John Reuben performed a short, but fantastic concert ending with fan favorite "Do Not." Finally, rK came on and we had bad seats. Erick (my neighbor) and me had to crouch down and peer through the speaker towers to watch them perform. They were excellent and worth the wait. Since we knew they always signed autographs after a show. We got in line and waited, and waited, and waited for about three hours. That was perhaps my fondest memory of Fallout. Sitting with Erick, shivering, and having scolding hot chocolate flowing down my numbed fingers. Rumors we're criculated the crowd but we had faith in rK. Finally, exasperated and cold, I said "They must have left for that gig they're playing tomorrow" when I heard "We didn't leave." I turned to see Brian Pittman standing there looking at me. My face must have lit up and I rushed over. Soon, all four members had emerged from the tour bus. I got my pic taken with Brian and Thiesen and got a poster signed. I then realized I'd left the cd booklet on the bus. Me and Erick ran out only to find the door locked. But, having the knowledge of buses, (my mom's a school bus driver) I ran to the back door and pulled it open granting access to our cd booklets and our coats. We were relieved. Then the candle lighting service took place and we sang along side Brian. This was my most memorable rK concert so far.

Hey, I saw Relient K at the Ogden in Denver and they were rockin' good. After a mind numbing first set from a heavy medal band, Relient K was a breath of fresh air! Brian Pittman was the coolest person to watch movin all over the stage! He kept everybody jumpin. I think the all time coolest part was when Thiessen asked if any Denver chicks were there. Of course all the girls screamed(even if they weren't from denver...hehe...) After he appealed to the male audience by explaining how girls walk all over guys with their high heals(I almost took off my chuck taylor and threw it on stage but I wanted Thiessen to sign it later...hehe.. =o)) they played Paula Abdule's(sp?) "Straight Up Now Tell Me" Dude! It was the Cooooooolest thing ever!!! So anyways, after the concert I asked Thiessen to sign my shoe and he was really nice about it. He even took my purple "Mardi Gras" beads...I figured I'd give back ya know? =o) Anyways, it was the best night ever!!! I totallly recommend that EVERYONE go see Relient K in concert. They ROCK! Also, if there's anyone out there whose struggleing with their faith or needs hope and encouragement(and a good laugh) or just needs some food for thought, I highly recommend The Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek. It's Awesome.

I had the awesome experience of seeing Relient K on the Youth Electric Tour (with Five Iron Frenzy, John Reuben, and Ace Troubleshooter) this past Monday. It was teh BEST concert I have ever been to. They started out rather interseting. Matt Theisen wlatzed on stage wearing a cell phone he had made out of a cardboard box earlier. They played a great set, even though Matt Hoopes was sick ( :( poor Matt...). The sound was great and every word could be heard loud and clear. It was pretty cool, 'cause when we were walking out to our car Matt Theissen was just sitting out there by it on his cell phone (hhmmm... are you sensing a recoccuring theme here?), so we got to talk to him some and took a picture and all that great stuff. It was really awesome cuz he's so real. They aren't that much older than most of us so it there isn't this huge age gap, so you can kinda connect with them through that. But when we were out there talking to him I realized how real he is. He's just like me, fresh outa high school... playing music... trying to be real in his relationship with God... I really admire all of them fo rbeing so young, traveling all the time and still keeping their focus on God. That definantly deserves some respect.

I saw Relient K about 6 or 7 times and my last experience was only a couple days ago, on Sept 14th. They came to my church on the Electric Youth Tour with FIF, John Rueben and Ace Troubleshooter. It was the best set i've ever heard them play! They did a lot fo their new stuff which was awesome but still did the some of the old like "Softer", "Wake Up Call" and "Hello McFly". They were really good, i think that their harmonies are the best and their energy on stage is amazing. I know I've seen them a lot of times but i would go a million more bc they just put on a great show and put out a great message.

I went to the Relient K show at Sonshine on Saturday, July 14th 2001. It was a blast. I was right up front so i was out of the sun, but my friends who were further back said it was pretty hot in the sun. People were pushing and jumping and singing and screaming, it was great. There were tons of people there and i was glad, cuz me and my friends had just spent the past hour or so passing out hundreds of Relient K fliers and told people to come out to the show. They played a great set. Opened with Charles in Charge, then went right into When your around. After that was Wake-Up Call. I can't remember the spacific order after that, but i the songs i enjoyed were Pressing On and Sadie Hawkins Dance. I love Sadie Hawkins, that song is da kewlest. Of corse Relient K is always lively and fun to watch and listen to. And it was so freaken rad when Matt T crowd surfed at the end!! After the show was cool too, but i really didn't get a chance to chat much with the members, cuz of the HUGE crowd of people around the booth. I got some really rad pictures of the show. It was fun.

I got to see Relient K for the very first time live at AtlantaFest in June 2001. They are one of my very favorite bands so I wasn't going to let a little thing like the fact that I was supposed to be working at my artist booth keep me from seeing them. After taking a(n approved) hiatus I went to the main stage and got about two feet from the stage. They were awesome, playing all of my favorite songs as well as some new ones from the upcoming album. The guys acted like psychos on stage, which made it so much fun. It was my kind of humor. Anyway, that night I got to see them again at the Edge stage and they rocked my socks off once again. I felt it was a very fulfilling day, even though my friend Allen got to meet Bryan and I didn't. I can't wait to see them again and get the new album.

[Thanks to zeromeets15!]
when I saw relient k for the one and only time that I have seen them, they rocked so hard. they played the last big Five Iron tour. me and couple of my friends went to see Five Iron because we hadn't heard of any of the other bands. then relient k came on and we just thought that they rocked. they played a backstreet boys song and I laughed so hard but they did it very well. well that is all that I can remember. I just want to say that relient k rocks. even my parents think so. and they are old. jk.

[Thanks to Luke!]
The Date was February 24th 2001 and I was on my way to see a special unpromoted Relient K show in Canton, OH (their hometown) where they were opening for Five Iron Frenzy. 400+ kids were packed into a tiny little chapel meant for about 200. Relient K was up first and I was pumped. They relied heavily on stuff from the upcoming album, only playing like 3 songs from their debut. The higlight was definitly "Sadie Hawkins Dance." I can't wait to hear the album version of that song. "Wake Up Call" and "Down In Flames" were also great. The crowd was into the show, but it was very hard to move around and jump due to the limited amount of space in the venue. Relient finished up their half-hour set and five Iron came on next. FIF is always good, but I think Relient K upstaged them that night. I'm extremely pumped for the new album and can hardly wait till August 28th. This was like my fifth Relient K show, & they get better almost every time I see them. (for pictures go here)

[Thanks to Cathlene!]
I saw Relient K last night at the Electric Factory in Pennsylvania they were so awesome!! They played first and they were soooo incrediably awesome!!! I loved them!! I'm now a fan I bought their album and it's a really awesome album i love it also. I was front row and Brian looked straight at me, it was pretty cool :) I didn't want them to get off stage lol But the other bands (switchfoot and oc supertones) good too.... After the show I didn't know that they were going to be at their booth so I didn't get to meet them but my friend Kate did and she got their autographs so I'm ganna scan it.

[Thanks to Amanda!]
Well, I was working at the concert on Saturday, March 31st (2001) at L.M.H. and it was slammin'. Relient K is my favorite band of all time. I thought that I would get to talk to the whole band, but that didn't happen. However, I got to talk to Brian which was a (my) dream come true (ironically, my camera failed me right when I needed it...LoL). He's such a sweet guy. Anyways, you guys don't wanna' hear this stuff. But no, seriously, if you don't have a ticket to one of Relient K's up-coming concerts, get one. This is thee most slammin' concert that I have ever been too / had to control a mosh pit at. Oh, and go easy on the crowd management people, they deserve a break. Don't squash them as much as they did at the concert I attended. Oh...and NO STAGE DIVING. We had a major problem with that one at this concert also (you will be kicked out, and not allowed back in...most likely). Well, if any Relient K members read this...my # is.................(nah just kiddin'...LoL...I'm not that shallow). But seriously, keep it real, "Homie on the low-tones," and oh yeah...to the rest of the crew...keep rockin' for Jesus. God bless.

[Thanks to Lisa!]
I saw RelientK 2 times. Once at Alive2000. That was the first time that I ever saw them. I fell in love. I never knew that christian music could be so cool. The 2nd time I saw them was just recently at the Ix center in end of March or beginning of April. I love them. I can't wait till the next cd comes out!!!!

[Thanks to Fawn!]
This past Saturday my two friends saw Relient K perform in Lancaster, PA. They rocked so much...I had to buy a cd. Brian signed my cd. I regret now that I didn't talk to him...I was too shy at the time. I definately want to see them again! They played first and that got me jammin and dancin right from the start. They definately are way talanted, funny, cute, and awesome!

[Thanks to Colleen!]
I've seen Relient K twice, and both times I had a really awesome time. The last time I saw Relient K was on 2/15/01 (Matt H's birthday). They were in Augusta, GA with Switchfoot and the Supertones. Of course Switchfoot and the Supertones are both awesome bands, so the show was totally rad, but Relient K was still my favorite part of the show. They only got to play a few songs, but it rocked. The best part about going to see Relient K is talking to them after they play. They're really nice guys and they're very genuine. A lot of bands kind of brush you off when you ask for autographs and just treat you like another fan, but these guys aren't like that at all. They talk to you for as long as they can and they seem really interested in getting to know their fans. The last time I saw them, they remembered me from the first time I saw them which was 3 months before. That really impressed me, because I'm sure they've met a ton of people who all said pretty much the same thing to them, but they still remembered me. These guys love God, and it's really obvious when they perform and when you get a chance to meet them. I'm sure alot of people are like me in the sense that they're sick of meeting Christian bands who are only Christian in the sense that they keep their music clean. Relient K isn't like that at all. They really love the Lord and they want to share that. The only way to fully appreciate them is to see them in concert. It's well worth the time and money, even if you have to travel over an hour to see them like I do.

[Thanks to Zestfullyclean@another.com!]
Yo.I saw Rk Feb 20 when they came here to Louisiana w/the supertones.Rk was the first act up. It was in a EXTREMELY hot skating rink, but that didn't stop Brian(the bassist)for jumping all over the place. They put on an awesome, energetic show and signed my shoes afterward.how cool is that?

[Thanks to Kami!]
Relient K came to Grand Jct. CO in March 2001 where I got to see them in concert. I had only heard of them but never their music. They opened for the Supertones and Switchfoot. In my opinion, I think the guys from RK were much more personable. The concert was great, the best I've ever been to (and I've been to a few). After the concert my two sisters and I got to chat with the guys and it was a kick. They were so normal, not like the usual music stars. We chatted about the different ways Thiessen could sign his name, I talked with Pittman about this movie they had watched which had a Spanish phrase in it which they didn't know what it meant, we talked to Hoopes about how he wouldn't be overly excited until he got to sleep in his own bed for three days straight and see his dog. They are an out-of-the-usual band and I enjoyed watching them perform.

[Thanks to Tahnee!]
the concert was fun..it was like a music fest..all sorts of bands were there.. out of eden and everything..they were really great! there were two stages..the little stage was for the lessser known of bands.. thats were relient k were.. so..the church gave our youth group money to get shirts..so we walked all around the merchandise area until we aagreed on these shirts that said "relient k 55" we thought they were really cute..and we also thought that the guys selling them were cute..and then we walked around and sat down on this trailer and were just chilling when these people started walking around passing out flyers..it was the same guys and some girls.. and we promised them that we would go listen to them when they sang..but..we went out for lunch..and got back just as they were starting
