Hello to the Scouts, Parents, Leaders and Volunteers of Pack 460,

This month I would like to welcome aboard all the new Scouts who have joined our Pack over the last 30 days or so and are ready to discover the special qualities of being a Cub Scout and part of the best Pack around. We have an exciting program lined up this year starting with the Cub Scout Fall Family Campout in October, it's a great time. We get to play games, go hiking, have camp fires, roasting marshmallows, telling stories and much more. It will be my last campout with the Pack and I am looking forward to this being the best one yet. Also in October is the Pack Halloween party. With all sorts of fun planned that night. As you can see the month of October is lined up with a whole lot of fun to welcome in the fall. I am looking forward to sharing these experiences with you and your Scouts.

The Pack is coming upon a period in the next 3 months that there will be some changes to our Pack that will have great impact on our program. It will require some help from the parents in the form of Leaders, who knows maybe one of you out there has what it takes to step up and replace me when I leave in December. Being a Scout Leader is a challenging and very rewarding job, knowing that you helped some young boy develop and learn some things that will help him in the future. I hope we can keep our Pack together and strong. We are the most talked about Pack on the east coast, but it has a price tag and that is volunteers.
