Middlesbrough have confirmed they are interested in signing Tromso's Norway Under-21 international striker Morten Gamst Pedersen.
Boro boss Steve McClaren has already to bring Pedersen to the Riverside in September for a 10 day trial, but his club blocked the move because they needed him in a relegation battle.
However, it now seems that McClaren may be able to bring Pedersen to the Riverside once the Norwegian domestic season ends later this month.
A Boro offical today confirmed the interest, saying, “We are constantly looking at players and Pedersen is one of them,"
"Nothing concrete has been sorted out as yet, but he is someone who has attracted our interest and something could well be sorted out in the near future."
