Newcastle's Craig Bellamy has been nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award after his fantastic form for the Magpies' this season. The youngster has been one of Newcastle's most consistent performers since his £6 Million move from Coventry in the summer.

Bellamy however faces still competition in the shape of Spurs defender Lesley King, Chelsea's John Terry, Darius Vassell of Aston Villa and Bolton Wanderers frontman Michael Ricketts.

That said, Bellamy is said to be the favourite to win it.
