There was little transfer activity in the region today as the transfer deadline time of 5pm came and went.

However, two loan moves have taken place involving North-East clubs. Firstly, Sunderland's highly rated youngster Michael Reedy has joined Barnsley until the end of the season, and secondly, Middlesbrough's Mark Summerbell has joined Portsmouth for the same period of time.
