Do not use sticky notes on CDs! The glue eats through the protective coating on CDs really fast! This comes from the DATheads mailing list. If you don't believe me, look at one of your CDs that has had a sticky note on it by angling it at the light. You can see where the sticky note was. The glue is still there and still eating your CDs.
According to Mark Nutter at Sonic Sense,the new Maxell HS4 DDS tapes cause extremely rapid tape head wear. This too comes from DATheads mailing list. Please don't send me Maxell tapes unless prearranged.
