Shading Techniques
Here is a quick tute which will show you a basic shading technique. I am using Flash 5 to do this tutorial so I hope nothings to different from other versions. This is my first ever tutorial so bare with me I was in a rush!
The Layout (a low quality screen dump of Flash 5)

The Layout

Step 1.
First we start by drawing our object using the shape, or hand tools. For demonstration purposes I have just drawn a circle.

Draw a circleI have coloured the circle in a skin tone to help you if you are creating a character for a fantabulous AGS game.
<---------------

Select the CirclePaintbrush ToolStep 2.
We then select our circle and choose our options. We begin by selecting the brush option -------->

Step 3.

Paint SelectionWe then choose the option for the brush. In this case its the "Paint Selection" option.
<----------- This alows us to only paint the area's we have selected, this makes it easy for us to shade.

Colour SelecterStep 4.

In this step we enter the colour selector and slightly darken te colour to a shaded looking one.
<--------------- Then with your selected colour just draw around the edegs, it doesn't matter if you don't stick in the lines you will only coulr in what you have selected.

Always remember where your light source is coming from.
