Lord of The Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring

After the much awaited release of the film in Christmas 2001, and with such a good reputation that the book already had, you knew this film was going to be a hit.

If you have read the book then you will probably agree with me that it is much better, but the film was a mix of some of the best actors, directors, locations and special effects this century has seen.

As a young hobbit, Bilbo was very adventurous. But as time went on he began to settle down and take it easy.

On his 111th birthday he feels that he can't stay in hobbington any longer and sets out on the open road, leaving all his possesions to young Frodo, everything including the Ring!

When Sauron learns of the rings location, Frodo is forced to take the ring to be destroyed in the fiery pits of Mordor. His adventure begins and he struggles for survival with his friends Sam, Pippin, Merry and Gandalf.

But this is not merely enough, and so the Fellowship of the Ring is formed. Nine brave warriors in a group, who share one destiny - to destroy Lord Sauron's Ring of Power.

The Two Towers is due for release later this year and is bound to be as popular as the first.
