Salinger- An Introduction

Seymour: An Introduction, is probably the second best story I've ever read in my entire life
(next to The Catcher In The Rye.)

This is another story written by "Buddy Glass," about his brother, Seymour. It is almost a sort
of memoir, but still much more. Salinger calls it an Introduction... It still seems like much more.
It's been described as ramblings of "Buddy's" about Seymour, before his suicide that was written about
in "A Perfect Day for Bannanafish."

A lot of it is about his poetry, and how he was truly, one of the only true poets. If "Buddy" would have
published some of "Seymour's" poems in this "Introduction," I would have judged that. Ofcourse, by reading
Buddy's wonderful and passionate description of Seymour, I don't need to read his poetry to understand how
wonderful he was.
Buddy rambles about Seymour's writing, his hands, the way he shot his marbles with that special side shot, and
how Seymour proved to Buddy that he isn't the fastest runner in the world afterall.
I would reccomend this story to anybody. I got my friend to read just the first few pages, and she was very sad to
hand the book back to me so I could write this review.

If you loved Salinger's Catcher, you would love Seymour: An Introduction.

If you don't like it, take this fresh bouquet of early blooming parenthesis! (((())))
