DAYS OF OUR LIVES recently approached Melissa Reeves (Jennifer) and Matthew Ashford (Jack) about reprising the roles that made them big daytime stars, according to sources.

And in an exclusive interview with Soap Star World, Scott Reeves (Ryan, YOUNG AND RESTLESS) confirms that DAYS approached wife Missy about a return "as recently as two months ago."

At the moment, says Scott, his wife is enjoying her role as real life mom to the couple's two children and in no rush to get back to the daily grind of soaps at this moment. He laughs, "And the offers have been very, very generous." Other offers have come from PASSIONS and SUNSET BEACH and Aaron Spelling has said he would want Melissa in any of his primetime projects, too.

Scott and Melissa will be seen, together, in the ABC-TV movie HALF A DOZEN BABIES (Monday May 17, 8 p.m. ET). They will play true-life Indiana couple Keith and Becki Dilley, parents of the famous sextuplets who are now 5. On the Y&R set, Scott tells SSW that "filming in Toronto was a lot of fun. And working together was a lot of fun, too. And Missy and I loved the kids so much. They had 30 different kids playing the sextuplets. It was really sad to leave them. We'd never been around so many kids at once."

The Reeves have two of their own. Did working with 28 more give them any ideas about expanding their family to perhaps even as many as six? "Not a chance," he laughs, "No way!" Scott reports that his wife wouldn't mind. "She has no problem in labor. Like with our son, he just popped out. I'm the mess. I see a woman giving birth and I about faint."
