Emilio Ramirez

Emilio was Jennifer's boyfriend when she first began working for The Spectator, but he had a dark side, and left Salem, leaving her to work closer with Jack.
When Emilio returned, he attempted to get back into Jennifer's life, leaving her feeling more confused than ever. Jack, who had already fallen for Jennifer, tried many times to make Emilio look bad in front of Jennifer, or embarrass him.
After Jennifer admonished Jack for doing this, he began to withdraw and focused more on helping his brother and befriending Isabella Toscano.
Once Jack became involved in other things, Jennifer found herself missing him, and wanting to be around him. Emilio was annoyed at the fact that whenever he and Jennifer had a conversation, she always started talking about her boss.
Once Jennifer admitted to Emilio that she had feelings for Jack, Emilio angrily decided to let her make up her mind about what she wanted, but he made sure she knew that 'Deveraux' was a punk, and she'd be better off with Emilio.
At this point, Jack tried to deny his feelings for Jennifer for two reasons; his dealings with Isabella were dangerous and he didn't want Jennifer involved, & he did not think himself worthy of her.
Jennifer attempted many times to get Jack to give in to her; she declared her feelings for him, kissed him several times, tried to make him admit what he felt. Because Jack wouldn't, Emilio was only too happy to be Jennifer's shoulder to cry on. She rejected Emilio's first proposal because she was still holding out for the man she really loved.
After a particularly hurtful rejection from Jack, Jennifer accepted Emilio's second proposal, on live television.
A shaken Jack witnessed the proposal and rushed to Wings to try and change Jennifer's mind, but she was stubborn. If Jack wouldn't admit that he wanted her, she would marry Emilio.
The day of the wedding, Jack kidnapped Jennifer from her bridal room, dressed as a fireman, and left a fake 'Dear John' letter to Emilio.
Jack whisked Jennifer away on a firetruck to a cabin in the woods, where he wanted her to think over her decision about Emilio. Jack insisted that she was too special and talented to waste her time with a bum like Emilio.
Because Jennifer tried to run away from Jack, the two of them ended up on the ledge of a cliff in the woods, where Jack finally kissed Jenn, after all his talk of just 'looking out for a fellow journalist.'
Jack and Jenn were interrupted by Emilio and Melissa (see below), who had figured out the note was a fake, and had come looking for Jennfier. Emilio fell off the cliff trying to get Jack and Jennifer off the ledge, and was seriously hurt.
Feeling enormous guilt, Jennifer agreed that she would still marry Emilio.
The triangle finally ended when Jack and Jennifer both went on a cruise on The Loretta, which involved for both reporting, and helping Isabella further. While on the cruise, Jack finally allowed himself to admit his feelings for Jennifer, and after the ship wrecked on an island, the two made love for the first time.
While they were away, Emilio and Melissa, who was his singing partner, realized their feelings for each other as well. When Jack and Jennifer returned home, Jennifer gave Emilio back the engagement ring, and the two prepared for different relationships with other people.
Melissa Anderson
Melissa Anderson came back to Salem 'a woman scorned'. She had been Jack's assistant during his days in politics as an assemblyman, and she had fallen in love with him while he was married to Kayla Brady.
After Jack raped Kayla, Melissa was the only person in Salem who stood by him, blinded by her love for him. Jack used this to his advantage, and started a relationship with her. Meanwhile, he was still in love with Kayla, who wanted a divorce.
After Kayla divorced him and married Steve, Jack kept up a relationship with Melissa, and they became engaged, but he cheated on her whenever possible. Her father, Mickey, was running against Jack for political office, and Jack used his relationship with her to help his chances.
Melissa finally realized that Jack was using her when she saw him kissing another woman in the Kiriakis mansion. On the day of their wedding, Melissa announced to everyone at the altar that Jack had used her and she didn't want to marry him. After that, she went to Europe to get away from Salem for awhile.
While she was gone, Jack slowly reformed, changing his ways, and feeling truly remorseful of the way he had treated Kayla and Melissa. As he began to work with Jennifer, Melissa's cousin, she saw how he had changed and how good of a person he had become, and Jack dare hoped he had found someone in Salem who wouldn't judge him for his past.
When Melissa returned to Salem, Jack was slapped in the face again with a reminder of his past. Melissa didn't want him to forget how much she hated him, and was shocked that her little cousin had become friends with him through work. At every turn, Melissa tried to get Jennifer to see how 'terrible' Jack was, and how she needed to stay away from him.
When Melissa realized that Jennifer had feelings for Jack, she pushed Jennifer towards Emilio, who Melissa thought would be a much better match for Jenn. One night when Jennifer had confronted Jack and the two were on the verge of making love, Melissa's phone call interupted them and snapped Jack back into reality. Melissa had called to remind Jennifer about a broadcast she needed to be at, and it was there that Emilio proposed.
After the firetruck wedding fiasco, Melissa realized that Jack genuinely cared for Jennifer, but urged him to move on, since Jennifer would be marrying Emilio. Jack sensed that Melissa was as upset about the marriage as he was, and figured out that she had feelings for Emilio.
Once Melissa discovered that Jack's intentions towards Jennifer were sincere, she changed her mind about him. After Emilio and Jennifer broke up, Melissa no longer tried to come between Jack and Jennifer.
Lawrence Alamain
Jennifer's childhood best friend, Katerina von Luechener, was betrothed to Lawrence Alamain. The wedding was supposed to take place on Katerina's 25th birthday, and she was determined not to go through with it.
Katerina came to Salem under the name Carly Manning, and hoped to hide out there, as her 25th birthday was approaching. Jennifer decided to pretend to be Katerina, and on the day of the wedding, she would tell Lawrence she wasn't really who she had said she was, and the wedding would be off. The Alamains would not have time to find the real Katerina, and
Carly would be off the hook once her birthday was over. Unfortunately, Lawrence was aware that Jennifer was not the real Katerina the whole time. He and Katerina had been involved before, but he had pretended to be a man named James. When Katerina (Carly) found out he was really Lawrence Alamain, she broke up with him and wanted nothing to do with him.
Jennifer knew nothing about this. Jack followed Jennifer to Lawrence's country, and was locked up in a room in the villa the day of the wedding. When Jennifer told Lawrence that she wasn't Katerina, he told her that he knew already, and that she would marry him anyway or he would hurt people close to her.
Jennifer was forced to go along with the marriage, and that night Lawrence raped her. Afterwards, Jennifer tried to convince Jack and other people from Salem who had come that she was happy with Lawrence and wanted to stay married to him.
She was scared to death that he would hurt someone because of her, and so she tried her hardest to convince everyone to leave her with Lawrence and go back to Salem.
Jack knew that she didn't love Lawrence, and loved him, so he never relented. Finally, Jennifer admitted that she loved Jack in front of everyone, and they all tried to escape the villa through the underground tunnels. Lawrence caused an earthquake to trap them all in the tunnels, but they made it back to Salem.
Because of the rape, Jennifer became closed off and cold towards Jack. It wasn't because of anything he had done, but she was constantly faced with the memory of Lawrence raping her. One night, Jack took her to a cabin and started kissing her, and flashing back to Lawrence, Jennifer slapped Jack and screamed that he was a rapist.
Jack broke off their engagement, and Jennifer could not bring herself to tell Jack that she was raped. Lawrence came to Salem, and caused trouble for Jennifer with an annulment. He threatened to tell everyone that he and Jennifer had been 'intimate', and she was scared because then she'd have to tell everyone that he had really raped her.
Eventually, Jennifer found the courage to press charges against Lawrence, and Jack stood by her. Lawrence was convicted of spousal rape and served jailtime.
Frankie Brady

Frankie was Jennifer's first love when they were teenagers, and their relationship ended when Frankie opted to go to Columbia in New York. The long-distance relationship didn't work for them, and they broke up.
Jennifer saw Frankie for the first time in years when she was forced to stay at Lawrence Alamain's villa and be his wife (Katerina). It turned out Frankie was really Francois von Luechener, the royal brother of the real Katerina (Carly Manning).
After all the Salemites who were in Alamania escaped Lawrence's wrath, Frankie returned with them. He moved in with Jennifer because he had no place to stay, and because Jennifer wanted a platonic roommate. Jack had already started having doubts about his relationship with Jennifer, because she seemed to be distancing herself from him.
Frankie's moving in did not help his doubts in the least. Then one night, Jack listened on the pier as Frankie told Jennifer he still loved her. Jennifer responded that she still cared about him as a friend, but her heart belonged to Jack and that was who she was going to marry.
Because Jennifer had said no to Jack's recent proposal, he still worried that Frankie would come between them. Although Frankie still wanted Jennifer, he respected the fact that she wanted to be with Jack.
The internal problem in Jack and Jennifer's relationship was the fact that Jennifer had not told Jack that she was raped, but Jack was convinced Frankie was a threat. After Jack and Jennifer broke up, Jack married Eve after seeing Jennifer and Frankie together, and mistaking it for something more than friendship.
Eventually, Frankie developed feelings for Eve, and the two left for Africa after Jack and Jennifer's wedding.
Eve Donovan

During one of Jack and Jennifer's separations, Eve came to Jack for help. Eve's former boyfriend, Nick Corelli, had died, and left his fortune to Eve. The catch was that she had to be happily married to get the money. Jack was in trouble because Lawrence Alamain wanted to buy out Diana Colville's share of The Spectator, and Jack didn't have the money to out-buy him.
Eve had feelings for Frankie Brady, but he was disenchanted with her at the moment, and Eve was desperate, as was Jack.
Jack was unaware that Jennifer had been raped, and he mistook her coldness towards him to mean that she couldn't deal with his shady past. After she had accidentally called him a rapist, thinking of Lawrence, Jack broke off their engagement and tried to push her out of his life.
Ever since Frankie had come back in town, Jack had worried that he would steal Jennifer from him, and one night, Jack saw the two of them at the seedy motel downtown. Mistaking their presence there to mean that they had gotten together, Jack rushed to marry Eve and get some of the money to save his paper.
The two were drunk during the ceremony, and took pictures to show Julie, who would have to approve the marriage before giving Eve the money.
During this time, Frankie had been talking to Jennifer about the rape, and encouraged her to tell Jack about the rape and try to work things out. Jennifer arrived at Jack's penthouse, and found him in bed with Eve. The two hadn't done anything, but Eve awoke and tried to make Jennifer think otherwise. Then she informed Jennifer that Jack was now her husband.
Needless to say, Jennifer was very upset, and didn't get to tell Jack about the rape or anything else.
As Jack and Eve played the charade of a happy couple so Julie would give them the money, Jennifer began to think that Jack really didn't care about her anymore.
Jack and Eve's marriage of convenience was never consummated, but Eve caused trouble for Jack and for Jennifer whenever she could. After Jack and Jennifer finally got back together, Eve refused for a short period of time to give Jack a divorce.
She finally did the day before Jack and Jennifer were married.
Hawk Hawkins
Hawk discovered Jack and Jennifer on their honeymoon in Los Angeles, and headed up a scam to steal their money. He followed them back to Salem and befriended them, with the plans in order. After pretending to hurt his back, Jennifer allowed him to move in with them, where he took every opportunity to make Jack look bad, get on Jennifer's good side, and move ahead with a scam to get Jack's money. Hawk informed Jack that he could meet with a stockbroker in New York, and invest his money. While in New York, after giving 5 million dollars to Hawk's fake stockbroker, Hawk made Jack believe that he had murdered two FBI agents. They really weren't agents, and they weren't dead. Nevertheless, Jack was petrified, and decided to lay low for awhile.
While he was gone, Hawk, who had lied and said he was going to hide out too, went back to Salem and acted like he had no idea what had become of Jack. Hawk played the good friend to a heartbroken Jennifer, who believed that Jack had abandoned her for good. Jennifer had to use up her trust fund to pay for The Spectator, which Jack had left in shambles. When Jack returned, Hawk lied about what had happened and tried to make himself look innocent. Jack then had to deal with Jennifer, who was on the verge of never forgiving him, and he had to figure out a way to
prove that Hawk had been after them all along. He pretended to have an affair with a woman named Cindy in order to prove that Hawk would do anything to get Jennifer to hate him, but Hawk had provocative pictures taken of Jack with Cindy and gave them to Jennifer. Jack was cleared when Cindy herself admitted to Jennifer that nothing had happened with her and Jack.
Jack finally showed Jennifer the video from their honeymoon in LA, and sure enough, at Universal Studios, Hawk lurked in the background. Jennifer finally believed Jack's claims that Hawk had been out to get their money, and Hawk's sidekick, Desiree, admitted that Hawk had also wanted to get Jennifer.
Jack and Jennifer finally set it up so that Hawk believed he had killed Jack, and got him to admit that he had scammed them of their money. He also said that he had done it because he had fallen in love with Jennifer and wanted to be with her. After showing Hawk that Jack wasn't really dead, Jennifer informed Hawk that she didn't want anyone but her husband.
Although Hawk was taken care of, Jack and Jennifer never got their money back.
Princess Greta Von Amburg
Upon Jack's return to Salem, Greta was one of the first people he ran into - literally. After several accidental meetings in Salem Place, Jack and Greta began to learn bits and pieces of information about one another. Greta learned that Jack was divorced from Alice Horton's grand-daughter, Jennifer, and seeking a resolution for custody of their daughter, Abby. Jack learned that Greta was nursing a broken heart from Austin Reed and was in need of a friend.
After Jack convinced Jennifer to move in with him for Abby's sake, he enlisted Greta's help in decorating it. Greta hesitantly agreed to help him, and the two began to spend more time together. The first time Jennifer saw Jack and Greta together, they were in a compromising (but innoncent) position, and the jealousy bug bit. She, of course, would admit no such thing.
One night, when Jennifer was in a car accident with Hope's baby JT, Greta witnessed Jack's devotion to Jennifer as he saved her life and then comforted her once they were home. The events of the night seemed to be a catalyst for Jack finally admitting his undying feelings for Jennifer, but when Jennifer wouldn't budge on her "for Abby's sake only" stance, Jack decided to take other measures to win back his love.
Jack began to take advantage of situations in which Jennifer spotted him with Greta, and attempted to make Jennifer jealous. Greta was oblivious, and Jennifer was furious. It was definitely working, and once Greta was clued in, she admitted to trying to help him get his family back together. Then, things went downhill. Somewhere along the line, Greta began to develop feelings for Jack. She recognized his love for Jennifer, and deep inside, desired that kind of love from someone for herself.
After witnessing an especially tense argument between Jack and Jennifer, Greta admitted to Jennifer that she was interested in Jack, and Jennifer was crushed. Jack overheard Greta's declaration, and was overcome with worry. While he had used Greta to try and get a rise out of Jennifer, he still cared about the princess's feelings, and knew she would be hurt that he didn't return the feelings.
Things only boiled over when Greta volunteered to be Jack's date to Las Vegas for a job interview - his stricken reaction to her suggestion sent Greta on a self-pity speech, and Jack resorted to lying in order to save her feelings and his butt. He lied and told her he was gay, saying that was why he wasn't interested in her. From then on, there was no convicing her otherwise. Jack kept on attempting to make Jennifer jealous with Greta, and Greta swore to Jack that she'd keep his secret.
Although she thought he was gay, it didn't stop her feelings for him to keep on growing. She found several occasions to tell Jack that if he was straight, she could have really fallen for him, and a guilty Jack admitted that if "his heart was available", there might have been something between the two. Of course, his heart was taken - by Jennifer.
As Jack's attempts to win Jennifer back kept falling short, and his charade with Greta kept bogging him down, the interview in Las Vegas approched. Greta accompanied him to Vegas, with plans to pretend to be his girlfriend on the interview.
That never happened though - it was revealed in Vegas that Jack wasn't really gay, and had been lying all along. A hurt Greta blasted Jack, and then decided to leave Salem to sort out her life. Jennifer was disgusted with how Jack had lied to Greta, and it widened the gap between Jack and Jennifer.
Brandon Walker
When Jennifer first returned to Salem, she met Brandon Walker at the hospital where he worked. Alice warned her that he had a bad reputation and couldn't be trusted, and Jennifer seemed to heed her grandma's advice. The two didn't have anymore run-ins for quite some time after the initial meeting - once Jack came back, Jennifer had her hands full with him, and Brandon was lovesick over Sami Brady, who was involved with Austin Reed. One night, Jack and Jennifer went to the Brady Pub for a 'civil' dinner together, but all went awry when they got in one of their usual arguments. Brandon, who was at the pub, decided to play hero (and not mind his own business), and offered to take Jennifer to the Blue Note for a drink. Jack followed with Greta, and to say the least, the night was a disaster. Brandon and Jack butted heads about Jennifer. Jack was disgusted when Brandon talked casually about picking up on two available-looking girls at the bar, and Brandon thought Jack was a "freak." Two months later, Brandon would interrupt Jack and Jennifer again, and this time it would be for a much longer time (unfortunately for us!). After a specifically somber argument where Jack told Jennifer she should date other people while he moved on with Greta (he didn't mean what he said), Jennifer accepted when Brandon asked her on a date. Of course, Jack didn't want this Ricky Martin-wannabe Lathario guy getting close to Jenn, so he took Greta to the same place Jennifer and Brandon were going. While Jennifer was annoyed, she *tried* to focus on Brandon and ignore Jack. Unfortunately for Brandon, Jack seemed to be all Jennifer could talk about. This became a pattern with Jennifer and Brandon - she talked/thought about Jack when with him, and later after her campfire friend Colin from Africa came to Salem, he too became more interesting to her than Brandon.
Brandon would not be deterred, though - after all, he thought he was great stuff, so why shouldn't she? It was a lost cause, though. Their uneventful relationship consisted of Jennifer backing off when he kissed her, thinking of other men, and making excuses not to get close to him. She tried to use him as a way to implant herself in a 'stable' relationship, but failed because neither one of them seriously wanted a long-term commitment to each other. After almost sleeping together on a weekend getaway, Jennifer and Brandon called it quits. Jennifer had left the lodge they were at to go help Jack in a troubling situation, and Brandon was fed up when he found out. After a tongue-lashing from Sami about how she was playing Jack, Colin, and Brandon, Jennifer realized that she needed to end the superficial relationship with Brandon. The two mutually broke up at the Brady Pub, and the general soap audience rejoiced. During their whole relationship, it was never revealed that Brandon had helped Lexie Carver keep Hope's (Jennifer's cousin) baby from her. Perhaps if this had been revealed a year ago, we would have never had to suffer through Jennifer and Brandon's relationship in the first place.
