A gathering of Hai Dong Gumdo practitioners from all over the Republic of Korea took place between July 24th and 26th. The site chosen for the competition and festival was Yongpyong Resort (Dragon Valley Resort) in Kangwon-Do. Approximately 2300 people competed for the right to represent their dojangs in the final rounds. Contenders strove for top place in solo forms, group forms, duel choreography and bamboo cutting.
