Whirlpool Necklace & Earrings Set'Whirlpool' is an original, one-of-a-kind piece of beadwork, designed and executed by Anne Helmenstine of Fu T'sang Treasures. The whirlpool or vortex is an ancient symbol of focused conciousness. This whirlpool swirls into a calming ocean wave, with sparkling crystals, pearls, and silver. The slightly domed, diamond-shaped whirlpool motif (identical on both sides) is brick-stitched using Miyuki shoji rainbow-finish blue, violet, and green and faceted green and pink glass beads. Accents are 4-mm hand-cut fully leaded crystal. The beadwork is approximately 1.75" wide by 3" long, with an additional inch of crystal, pearl, and Miyuki shoji bead dangles. The necklace portion is composed of natural (not dyed or treated!) pink freshwater cultured pearls spaced with Miyuki shoji rainbow glass beads. The 21" medallion-style necklace is secured with an easy on/off sterling silver heart clasp and bead tips. The beadwork and necklace have been reinforced for enduring wear. The matching earwires are sterling silver, each with a pearl accented by Miyuki shoji beads. This is a unique set - the pattern for the Whirlpool motif will be made available at Bead-Patterns.com, but the matching pearls were a rare find! The set comes in a golden foil box with an item description and pearl care instructions.
