This anklet or bracelet is hand woven using a vertical netting stitch in a red, white, and blue color scheme. The beads are Japanese Matsuno glass (silverlined crystal bugles, royal blue seed beads, and brick red seed beads) and 8-mm opaque brick red glass rounds. The width of the band is 1-1/2". The piece is available with 2 beaded closures, as shown in the photo or just one. If you would like an anklet, I recommend just one beaded closure (at the top), to allow the beadwork to flare out over your foot. The two bead closure is best for a bracelet, allowing for a sleek fit. The beadwork consists of beads and beading cord only - no glue, solder, or metal - so the piece is suitable for persons with sensitivity to metal or other chemicals. When ordering, please specify length, appropriate for whether an anklet or bracelet is desired, and whether you would like one or two beaded closures. This piece looks best when closely fitted to the ankle or wrist, so select the length equal to or slightly longer than your actual measurement. The photo is larger than the actual beadwork, to show detail.
