This is a necklace and earwires set of lavender purple seed pearls and sterling silver. The pearls are 2-8-3.0 mm (in width, longer length) freshwater seed pearls that have been permanently dyed. Dyeing is performed by hand, using an exclusive Japanese process that results in an intense permanent color that allows the natural pearl luster to shine through. Lovely gradations of color give the pearls a textural appeal. The necklace has been strung on nylon coated multistrand beading wire, secured with sterling silver clamps and a fine sterling silver heart clasp. The clasp may be worn in the front, as the centerpiece of the necklace, or in the back. The matching earwires are also sterling silver. The pearls are spaced with tiny Miyuki shoji silver-lined crystal glass beads. The necklace is 17-1/4" long; the dangles on the earwires just over 1/2" long.
