Blue Violet Peyote Bracelet with Vintage Crystal
This bracelet is handwoven/beaded using flat peyote (gourd) and brick stick, embellished with a vintage drop chain with faceted crystal and pearl. Fine size 11 Japanese Matsuno glass beads in lilac-lined blue, matte translucent blue, and matte lilac-lined blue create continuity of color, with visual interest and shimmer. When closed, the bracelet measures 6.5-7", with a width of 1/4" (will not fit large wrists - must be less than 7" around). Although this clasp style is ancient, it is rarely seen in modern beadwork. One loop is slipped into the other; then the dangle is inserted into the loop. This results in a very secure closure. It is pretty easy to undo by yourself, but moderately challenging to close (requires about the same dexterity as a fishhook clasp). The bracelet comes in a golden foil gift box.
