Copper and Czech Blue Firepolish Earrings These are hand-crafted earwires made of copper. The dangles are 4-mm Czech firepolish faceted blue crystals with an aurora borealis rainbow finish. The total dangle length (filigree loops plus crystal) is about 3/4". Copper is reputed to yield therapeutic benefits, but it also will turn your skin (temporarily) green at the point of contact. Some people like copper to develop verdigris, whereas others dislike it. Green on your skin and your copper can be prevented by painting your jewelry with clear nail polish or acrylic floor polish.
