What I did on my White Trash Luau

By Dave Reed, 4th grade

My White Trash Luau was a lot of fun.  I went with Jimmy & the Teasers.  The Teasers are pretty.  Jimmy is funny and he is nice.  Our friend Dolinger has a farm a long way from here and he had a White Trash Luau.  It was up on a mountain near a lake.  One time, they made a movie there called 'Dirty Dancing.'  My mom won't let me watch dirty movies so I haven't seen it, but I think she liked it a lot.  Here are some pictures of the Luau place.

There were bands that played music all weekend.  We had to walk down a bumpy road and both sides had commercial grade kitchen appliances piled there.  I don't know what that is, but mom said it was strange.  They had been shot with a big gun and looked scary at night.  There were outhouses there too.  They had barbed wire around them.  They were scary even during the day.

I saw a lot of bands that day.  A band from Athens, Georgia called Rocket 350 played.  They are very good.  Here is a picture.

The bass player is Brandon.  He built a tent with sticks he found on the ground.  Here is a picture.

Jimmy & the Teasers were very good.  Everyone liked them.  The Teasers dressed up like Hula girls.  Everyone liked that.  Jimmy liked that too.  They weren't just picking on Charity, but it was hard to do anything to Valerie because she plays drums.  Here is a picture of Jimmy and Charity.

Later on a band called Twin Six played.  They are very good, but kind of scary too.  Here is a picture.

Everyone was very very drunk.  I didn't tell mom about that because she might not let me play with Jimmy & the Teasers anymore.  Valerie was really drunk and funny.  She fell down and didn't even know it!  A lot of people went to sleep and missed some bands.  That was sad because the last band came from Oklahoma just for the Luau.  They are called Billy Joe Winghead and they were really really good.  I ran out of film so I didn't take any pictures.  I was kind of drunk too.  Then we slept in the van and came home the next day.  Here is a picture of a guy who didn't sleep in a van.

That is a sad picture because he dropped his beer.  I'm sure he would have rather drunk it.  I would have picked it up and saved it for him, but it had already spilled.

I would recommend going to the White Trash Luau to anyone.  It is fun.  I like to listen to music in the woods and be a little drunk.  I hope I can always go to White Trash Luau!
