As an overview, I am interested in many things. I enjoy graphic arts, drawing, zoology (specifically herpetology ^^) and making websites. I have drawn all the graphics for this site and wrote it all in html (I SO want to learn javascript.... but its so harrrd *whine*). Well thats about it; below you will find an account of my childhood and herps. :) I am a long time herper; I've had reptiles and amphibians since I was 10. As our first herp, my brother and I had a pair of albino clawed frogs. As it turned out, they were of opposite sexes, and we ended up with eggs. These eggs never hatched though. Our next herp experience was my brother's two firebelly toads. As our luck turned out, these also produced eggs, and this time they hatched. We had forty tadpoles survive and make it into froglets. We tried our hardest to make them grow to full size, but after a year their numbers dwindled and we gave up, because they had gotten no bigger than they started. Then, one summer, I went to the beach with my family. The night before we left it had rained very hard, and we heard frogs everywhere. Then, we saw a beautiful Gray Treefrog on the garage to the beach house. That frog, Grayboy, which is still alive after nearly 6 years, was the jumpstart to my herp fancy. After that day, my brother and I have had a Pac-Man frog, African Clawed frogs, a Madagascarian Anole (all purchased), three Squirrel treefrogs (both died in captivity after 3 or 4 years), a Plains Garter snake (which was released), a couple worm snakes (released), an Eastern Box Turtle (released), countless numbers of toads (which both were released and died), a small stone toad (disappeared... died most likely), a Slimy Salamander (from the wild, which was released), and 2 flying geckos (one died from stress, the other was put to sleep because it broke its back somehow). The pets that are alive now (^-^) are my brother's new Veiled Chameleon, Frank; three gray treefrogs (Hyla versicolor), Grayboy (male is a whopping 9 years old since we found him), Scar Face (because we had kept him in a screen cage, his nose got raw and he got a scar), and Big Guy (wild-caught, a female grey treefrog...we didn't know it was a girl when we named it ^-^); and my three cornsnakes, Xena (fem. normal, 2 yrs, Mickey a.k.a. Hannibal (fem. snow, 1.5 yrs), and Acadia (male, 1 yr.). All three were purchased at the NC Exotic animal show from various breeders.
