Tea Time at the Plaza

Tea Time at the Plaza is one of Gene's favorite interview dresses, presenting a picture of tailored elegance. Circa 1943. The long sleeved, collarless dress is a classically tailored "A" line of navy blue georgette lined in silk. White soutache braid accents the neckline, shoulders and hips. The hat is a matching headband topped with three upright navy and white ribbons of charmease and organza. The two-toned "leather" shoes are in the "spectator" pump style. Includes a "leather" clutch purse, hose, and "pearl" earrings and bracelet. Gene's summer-blonde hair is smoothly styled, with the bangs waving up into a coiled bun. Designed by renowned fashion artist Lynne Day.
